Just curious what everyone else has theirs at......

Mine is set to sedentary, even though I'm quite active. My FitBit gives me extra calories for steps taken & I add exercise manually.

Is this the best way? Or should my activity level be set higher?

If your activity level is higher, do you still add exercise to your diary?

What about you? What do you find the best way of recording your activity on MFP?

    I keep mine at sedentary because I have a desk job and add exercise as I do it.

    Highest, not because I'm really active or anything, I just have a faster metabolism than most

    Pick a starting point and carefully monitor your calorie intake, as well as your progress. This is truly the only way to know.

    Agreed.

    I have mine set to Very Active as I usually train atleast 6 days per week. I also just got a HRM which has shown me I burn A LOT just doing simple things like shopping. I still add exercise to my diary but my net calories are much higher than reg calories

    So, am I better off with;

    A) a lower activity level then adding in exercises

    Or

    B) a higher activity level then adding in exercises

    I plan to eat up to my net calorie allowance.
