3 Months Progress in Body Fat %age!
March 15, I was able to use a BodPod to measure my body fat %age. It said I had 51.2% body fat. *The lady who administered the test pointed out to me though, that since I was nursing my daughter at the time, that number might be inflated by up to 2%. I weighed 221.968 lb. So my "fat weight" was 113.668 lbs; and my "non-fat…

I had this strange urge to just start running... so I did. I ran all the way home from the gym (about 1/2 - 3/4ths of a mile or so). I only stopped once ot cross the…

my question is probably pretty dumb, but i don't know WHERE to measure my hips and waist. is my waist my smallest part, or at the level of my bellybutton (because my smallest part is about an 1.5 higher than my bellybutton)? and my hips... is that AT my hips bone or my widest part (which is really around the middle of my…

5K Success
This past November, I ran my 1st 5K in a charity run for a family friend that had cancer (he's in remission now, yay!) and finished with a 59:29 time. I joined MFP in late January and have since lost 21 lbs. Today, I ran my 2nd 5K and my time was ***49:30*** That's right. I beat my first time by 9:59. Oh yeah!

confused-- need a real explination
so. when i started out, i noticed that i was gaining weight, but losing inches. i was frustrated, but i was told and ever read articles on other fitness sites that it was just because i was "building muscle" and losing fat and that "muscle weighs more than fat" (though I'm pretty sure that really mean that equal weight of…

can i really reach the mid-range healthy BMI?
so, according to all the charts and things that I've seen, the middle of a healthy BMI range would put me at 140-141 lbs. I'm currently 228 with a body fat %age of 40.02%. meaning, my fat weighs 91.3468 lbs, and my "other" weight (muscle, water, bone, organs,e tc.) is 136.6632 lbs.
