How do you feel after lifting?
I rarely feel sore? And I'm now squatting 120lbs. I just feel really weighed down, and physically tired the rest of the day. How do you feel after lifting?

Does anyone forgo breakfast?
I'm just not hungry until lunchtime. I eat it simply because it's "better" for my metabolism but its added calories for me because I'd rather just eat those calories at lunch and dinner, and do so anyway, so I could eliminate 200 cals or so by forgoing it. What is everyone's thoughts on this? Many thanks!

I have rib cage fat and don't know how to rid it!
Lifting has tightened up the majority of my body except my arms and rib cage. I have about 10lbs left. I think having children has made my rib cage increase and decrease several times, but there's a layer of fat that just seems to stay put. Like, I put on a sports bra, and it bulges out the top and back. Any…

Dumbbell or bar bench press?
My husband joined me this morning for lifting and he used dumbbell's instead of the bar for bench press. His reasoning is because it works ancillary muscles through compensation. Makes sense. I gave it a try but did not press nearly as much as I do with the bar. So, which do you prefer and why?

Do you count carrying babies all day as calories burned?
I have my activity level set at sedentary and eat at my TDEE based on that, figuring that daily activities + exercise create quite a deficit. What I didn't think about until recently is how active my life actually is - constantly holding, carrying a baby and toddler, chasing the toddler around, lifting the huge stroller…

Any normal weight ladies with fat arms?
Even before I was at my weight now, I hated my arms. Haven't worn a tank top in probably 10 years. I have a huge chest cavity and shoulders and a narrow lower body, but it doesn't seem to matter the shape I'm in, I can not seem to get these ladies slimmed, let alone toned. Commiserating or advice... all is welcome. :)

anyone NOT counting calories?
I did for about two weeks, and noticed that I overeat. It also gave me a very good idea of how many calories/proteins/carbs/fats/sodium(!!!) various food items have. BUT, I decided to stop because it was kind of a lot to monitor and it was consuming my thoughts, and with a newborn and toddler, I don't have time for that! I…

Lifting Stats
Ladies, How long have you been lifting? What are your weight stats for deadlift, squats, row, and bench?

small success and a question (pictures in post)
I didn't really expect to see these kind of results since today was only the 5th time I did heavy lifting in the last 10 days. Super impressed! I did decide to step on the scale today, though, and it was CRUSHING to see that I've gained two pounds! Before lifting I had been doing about 3 weeks of just interval running and…

When did you SEE results from heavy lifting?
I'm only in week two, but I absolutely notice a difference in my thighs and butt. My stomach and upper body, nada, but I have really never had definition in my arms. My stomach has always been flat and tight, but baby #2 is making that harder to obtain this go around. So when did you see visible progress? I haven't even…

If you eat around 1500 calories a day...
can I take a look at your food log? I'm doing a 30/40/30, carb/protein/fat ration and am really struggling with how to get more protein in my diet. I have to get super creative, I feel like, and I don't always have time for that. Thank you!

Ladies that lift heavy...
what does your cardio look like? I'm looking to lose weight (inches preferably) and want a successful formula for that. I'm 5'6" and 162 looking to lose the baby weight. I played soccer most of my life so I'm familiar with lifting, but never did it thereafter. I've mostly just run throughout my twenties.

how many calories if trying to build muscle AND lose fat?
Hi All, New to the forum! I've been active my whole life and played soccer through college, so the fitness aspect of a healthy lifestyle is not new to me, but the "watching what I eat" is a relatively new concept. At age 30, with a 12 week old (second child), I find myself not losing the baby weight as I did with our…
