You're favorite go-to snack?
What's your favorite snack that you have just about every day? Every week day when I get home from work, I have the same snack. I have it before my weight training routine to fuel my workouts and if it's just a cardio workout, I have it after to refuel. I mix this together in a bowl and eat with a spoon (because I'm…

Eating back exercise calories.
I see so many people saying to eat them back. WRONG! I used to do this and it was so counter productive. Set your calorie goal, eat those calories and just track exercise for the fun of it. People tend to under estimate what they eat and over estimate what they burn and then wonder why they aren't losing weight. Trust me,…

Proof the scale is a bad tool for measuring progress.
I did a little experiment to show just how much my weight changes in one day. I just want to add, my scale is very accurate. About once every couple of months, I check it with two 50 Lb plates and it's always dead on at 100 Lbs. So here was my day yesterday, and then a new weigh-in this morning. 5:00am- Weighed in at 213…

Just had a good slap in the face!
So, I haven't tried my size 40s on for about a month. Happily they fall right to the floor and look HUGE on me (I'm in 34s now which are getting loose as well). So, my wife and daughter think it would be funny to try to get into them TOGETHER. Low and behold, they got in them, zipped them up and buttoned them, all with…

From smoker to 3 miles in 2 months!
I hit my first fitness goal today. I did 3 miles in 30 minutes. I know that's not great to most but it's awesome to me. 2 months ago I was smoking a pack of reds a day and now I'm accomplishing a 10 minute mile! the reason I posted this in this section? I also burned 454 calories doing it! Below was the routine today: 4…

Tips for busting through a plateau.
Thought I would throw this out there since there have been a lot of plateau threads lately. 1.) Patience- A week or two of your weight not moving is not enough to get worried over. It takes time to lose fat. You didn't put it all on in a week or two, you're not going to lose it in a week or two. Also, don't think you are…

Going from getting no where to melting fat off.
I started on May 13th at 227.2 Lbs and 30+% BF and I'm now 213.4 @ 23% BF in just two months. In the beginning it was going very slow because I was doing silly things like eating my exercise calories back and not weighing all my foods and drinks. (Guesstimating is the enemy.) In the last couple of weeks I have made some…

Weekend Weight Gain
What's the most weight you've gained in a weekend? I had a pretty crappy weekend and went from 213 to 219. Most of it is water but I bet a pound or two was fat as well :( . It will come off in the next few days but I hate when that happens...LOL.

What are your favorite fat loss sayings?
Just thought this might be fun. Here are three of mine. 1. Calories don't make people fat, people make themselves fat. 2. Nothing tastes as good as fit feels. 3. (This could apply to anything you want to achieve.) Learn...apply...WIN!!!

What Activity Level?
Just curious as to what I should set my activity level at? I have a desk job where I spend most of my work day sitting. But I also work out 5 days a week, whether it be running or lifting, for 20-30 minutes a day. Oh, and my running sessions are HIIT.
