Surfing on leg day
I just started surfing and so far it doesn't feel like I use my legs to exhaustion. I would like to continue with my normal gym routine which would include a leg day about three hours after surfing. My leg day is squats, lunges, dead lifts. Thoughts? Any surfers out there?

Bikini- first
So I am happy with my weight, and generally happy with the way my body looks, but... I plan on wearing a bikini for the first time (at age 33) on a girls trip to vegas in five weeks, and I am scared!! I was hoping to bolster my confidance, and hoping that someone here could help me with these last five weeks. For those of…

Personal Trainer?
I would like to start lifting, but I do not know what I am doing. I can watch dvd's and video's on the internet but am sure I will still be doing things incorrectly at times. It doesn't hurt too much in my day, but when I try and workout with any jumping or big movements it…

Does this mean lifting a weight just a few times at a very heavy weight vs a bunch of times at a lower weight?

Sore muscles
I have just started lifting. I do upper body one day and then lower body the next and always give myself an extra day or so in between if I am really sore. I don't think I am overdoing it as I am just getting fatigued as I hit my last rep. The next day I am always sore to the point that I can't do cardio or yoga (other…
