When Did You Decide to Quit Logging?
I am 105 days in and have faithfully logged each day and have always tried to make sure I logged everything I consumed. I rarely weigh or measure but do on occasion when I am eating something I don't normally eat so I can get a good perspective on how much and how many calories. I have lost 36 of the 40 pounds I want to…

Breakfast is the most important meal?
If I have heard it once, I have heard it a thousand times. Breakfast is the most important meal, if you want to loose weight you have to start with a good breakfast. I have never been someone that eats breakfast but when I started MFP in August I decided I would start the day with a good breakfast but soon found out I was…

I'm Stuck!
On August 15th I decided it was time to loose weight, at the time I weighed 230 pounds. My wife had used MFP so I downloaded the ap and haven't missed a day of logging since. As of today I am at 200 pounds but I feel like I am stuck here. When I was loosing quickly every day or two it would seem like I was down a pound or…

Do I get 500 calories back? 3500 a week to gain a pound?
I'm pretty black and white, detailed, and dedicated and I think that's why MFP is working for me. I am saver not a spender so I don't feel a need to eat all my calories for the day, I usually save a few for a raining day. I started MFP about 6 weeks ago and have lost 18 pounds. I am at 212 and my goal is 200, I am going to…

Lost 18 pounds in 5 Weeks! I feel good!
About 5 or 6 weeks ago I decided it was time to get healthy. I never really considered myself overweight but I had a beer belly that needed to go. I started walking\running 30 minutes a day and tracking my calories and off the weight came. Why have I been loosing so quickly and will it continue? My guess is that MFP…

Exercise Goal in MFP
Does the exercise goal you put into MFP factor into any of it's calculations? What is that number for?

Water Enhancers?
Any opinions on the water enhancers that you can buy most anywhere? I have several flavors, you only add a drop or two so I can't imagine they would have an impact on a weight loss program but the one thing that makes me question this is that I have read even zero calorie soda isn't good in a diet program. Any thoughts?

Exercise Goal in MFP
What is the value in putting an exercise goal in MFP? Is it used in any of the calculation?

How much am I really burning?
I am 6'2", 230 pounds, and 46 years old. I walk/run 30 min a day on the treadmill, about 35% running. MFP says that 30 min burns 457 calories which seems high to me...I figure about half that is correct. How many calories am I really burning?

What do you do when you have a bad day?
I have been using MFP for about 2 weeks now and I must say it's been really easy for me. I think I have probably already lost close to 10 pounds. I gave up soda which was easy, I gave up sweets which was also easy, and MFP has helped me to give up snacking. With that said I don't know that I want to give up some high…

Is a calorie a calorie?
I have been using MFP for about a week. So far it's been pretty easy for me, I started out with a goal of 2 pounds a week and I was hungry but moved to 1 pound a week and much better. I am not looking to get sexy skinny but instead just trying to loose some belly so my cloths fit better. I quit drinking soda about 10 days…

I'm Hungry
So I decided to loose about 30 pounds, I am 6' 2", 46 years old and weigh 230 pounds. According to MFP I need to eat 1500 calories a day to loose 1 to 2 pounds a week and I am hungry. I haven't done a formal count but I have no doubt I was eating 3000 plus calories a day including soda and snacking. I haven't had soda in a…

Is it all about the net? Can I walk so that I can eat?
I don't have time nor the desire for a complex diet and I am too cheap to use a diet service such as Weigh Watchers or Nutrisystems. I do like goals, numbers, and technology so MFP seems to be a great fit for me. Is it fair to say that in order to loose weight it's all about net calories...no more or less complicated than…

Can I do this with being all in?
So here is my situation, I am 6' 2" and weigh 230 pounds, I am 46 years old and can honestly say I have never been on a diet or tried to eat healthy at any time in my life. I don't consider myself "fat" (whatever that subjective term may mean) but I do have a beer belly that I would like to loose. I have set my goal at 200…
