Lost 18 pounds in 5 Weeks! I feel good!

About 5 or 6 weeks ago I decided it was time to get healthy. I never really considered myself overweight but I had a beer belly that needed to go. I started walking\running 30 minutes a day and tracking my calories and off the weight came.
Why have I been loosing so quickly and will it continue? My guess is that MFP assumed I was eating about 2500 calories a day, I say this because my current goal is 2000 and I set my weight loss at 1 pound so 2500 - 500 -= 2000 but know what I was eating before and having a better understanding of how many calories foods have there was no way I was eating 2500 calories a day...3500 would have probably been closer. Maybe it's something else but that is my best guess. So in reality I am eating 1500 calories less a day which would equate to about 3 pounds a week.
I think my diary is set as public if that helps

When you first start restricting calories, you lose a lot of water and glycogen stores, hence the large loss in the first week. After the first week or two, the loss will slow down to a more realistic rate.0
