Should I log my work as exercise?
I have a part time job as a photographer. The hours aren't consistent, some weeks I don't have a shoot and others i'll work 3 or 4 hours a day. Because of this, I put my work as sedentary. However, on many shoots I am constantly squatting and/or climbing and sometimes running to get a photo. I'm not getting a full cardio…

Anyone else using a Timex HRM?
I have heard it tracks calories burned too high. I have noticed this myself and started to enter the number at 50% of the reading. It is accurate for everything else. Except for the calorie burned tracking problem, I like the Timex. It's waterproof (for when doing laps in the pool), has splits (ditto), and is fairly easy…

Guess-timating Calorie Burn
I use a Timex HRM (chest strap monitor and wrist watch reader) when I work out. The readings never line up with the MFP workout numbers. I'm always afraid that I will OVER estimate my calorie burn so I take the two readings and average it out, or take the lower number. Is this okay? For my log in numbers I always over…

Black Big Toe Nail... HELP!
So last week, I did a very long hike. I was warned that coming back downhill was just as hard, especially on the toes. So after 6 hours of hiking downhill my right big toenail is BLACK! Okay, Black & blue. It's sore and sensitive and seems like it'll be like that for awhile. I've read that runners experience black nails…

Any Fitness Swimmers?
I'm interested in seeing how often you swim, how long you swim, example workouts. Also, do you monitor your heart rate? Do you find it's harder to get it as high as if you worked out on land?

What to eat for a 10 hour hike?
On Wednesday I am hiking Mt Fuji, which is 6-8 hours uphill hiking, 3-4 hours downhill. So, Tuesday is a no workout day and will exceed calorie intake a little. My question is, what are the best foods I should eat tomorrow (Tuesday) to keep my stamina up for that long a hike? I will be bringing powerbars and jerky and…

The Sodastream for Sparkling Water
Hi. Does anyone have/use the Sodastream? Here's the story: I love La Croix Sparkling Water with Lemon. Unfortunately, I cannot get it where I am currently living. I'm wondering if the Sodastream is any good at making it.

Where my chubby swimmers at?
Right here! Question: after swimming, I mean real swimming 1000m+, do you feel Ravenous and want to eat everything in front of you? Or is that an urban legend. Maybe I'm just weak.
