I'm going to try them for a month, because I have terrible cartilage damage in my knees due to malaligned patellas. I had one patella surgically re-aligned, but haven't done the other. My knee is starting to hurt when I'm running on the treadmill and when I straighten it out with my quad muscle contracted hard. I've also heard that high doses of cinnamon (capsules) help with joint inflammation as well.
I haven't heard about weight loss or gain with it, though. I'll report back.0 -
She based it on her own experience but I don't know what she was doing exercise/eating wise. My joints are getting old and I think it would benefit me in the long run to take glucosamine. I've got to sit down with my Dr. and talk about things. LOL0

I've been taking them for a few months; my doctor recommended them for my knee problems. I bought a giant bottle of them at Costco, and there are 10 cals in 2 pills which I record. I haven't noticed any weight gain as a result of the pills.0

I have been taking them for months. I don't know, maybe that is why I have stalled...or could it be the icecream?......Either way If you hurt you won't work out and will gain weight, I would give it a try... good luck0

they wont make you gain weight. While it is an amino sugar, its not in a biochem form to impact in that manner. In fact, its a structure element of chitosan.
What it CAN do is impact the pancreas and assist in formation of diabetes IF taken in high doses - VER high doses.
Supplimental doses are safe - and provide joint cartilidge support in lubrication and repair.
Also - pill forms are somewhat wasted as glucosamine needs to be quickly absorbed - so I suggest getting JOINT JUICE or a liquid form that has a higer bioavailability factor when taken.0 -

I've got a pretty daring palate, but "joint juice" sounds scary.0
