2 YEARS OUT
I am 2 years out from my VSG and I just thought I would pop in and give an update. I am still so happy that I had this surgery done. I knew from the beginning that it was not a permanent fix, but instead a means to getting me to where I could feel more in control. That is exactly how I feel still today. I lost about 92 lbs…

weight goals?
I was almost 240lbs before having the sleeve done last September. In all my years of dieting I always thought that if I could just get down to 150lbs, I'd be satisfied because I had never seen that number on the scale before. Now that I'm 7 months in, I am down to 157lbs. Now I am wondering what my goal should be? Clearly…

just feeling....?
I have not been logging on here very often for a couple week because I've just been feeling....blah? I'm still loosing weight, but I'm not logging, and unmotivated to do that. I'm still exercising, but I know I'm not pushing myself like I could be. What do you use to help get your mind back on track when you are feeling…

60-70% of excess weight
When I first started looking into the VSG I asked how much weight I could expect to lose. I was told that the sleeve would help me lose 60-70% of my excess weight and then I'd have to do the rest. VITAMINS/SUPPLEMENTS
Which vitamins/supplements would you recommend. I want to have everything stocked up and ready to go. Having surgery at the end of month. Do I need to do liquid vitamins at first?

adding in strength training
I have been faithfully going to the gym for about 3 years. I either use the treadmill, elliptical, or bike for 30-45 minutes everyday. I then follow that up with 10-15 minutes of good stretching. I want to add in strength training, and the gym clearly has all the right equipment for that, but I just don't know where to…

starting pre-op diet today!
I am 2 weeks out and I'm so excited. I know these next two weeks will be hard, but I'm super excited to get on with this. I could really use some friends now to help me through this journey though so if you'd like to invite me to be a friend, I would appreciate it.

how long did you take off of work?
I am wondering what a realistic recovery time is for me to be ready to be back at my desk job after gastric sleeve surgery. My friend who had the surgery last year said she felt great within 2 to 3 days of surgery and could have easily gone back to work. (But she's a stay at home mom...so I'm not sure if that would be…
