  • So glad I decided to check back in after a couple years of forgetting about you guys. I lost 90lbs originally. I had surgery in 2014. I have gained about 20 of it back over the last two years. Gonna work on getting those 20 back off. I had never hear of the Inspire Box until I read this post so I am thinking I might have…

  • You are an inspiration! Love your "ramblings". Thanks for always sharing!
  • Thanks for all your input. I think, because I'm getting a lot of "your getting too skinny" comments that it's just been weighing (no pun intended) on my mind. I don't feel "too skinny". I know that their comments are coming from the viewpoint that they've only every seen me as a 240lb women so they don't know any…

  • I always thought weekly weigh ins were the way to go...but for me that is way to long in between accountability. I weigh daily. I know there are going to be fluctuations from day to day so I don't stress. But, I also am very aware of how the food I ate the night before effects me and it keeps me accountable. So, if you can…
  • Oregon, here.
  • Very excited for you. I'm just a little over 4 months out and feeling really great. It will be so worth it for you! Feel free to add me as a friend.
  • You can do this!! Sending good vibes your way!
  • I had the sleeve in Sept. 2014. Down 56 lbs and feeling great. Feel free to add me as a friend.
  • mine comes when I'm all alone in the house and I'm doing some mindless activity like watching television. All of the sudden the "I'm hungry" voice starts in. I totally know that I'm not hungry, but after a little while, I feel famished. I have told myself that the only thing I can eat in this situation would be a piece of…
  • Welcome! I love Rob's advise from above. I know it's really helped me. I had surgery in September 2014 and I'm still learning all the time. Feel free to add me.
  • Great discussion! I was never advised about soup at all (other than it was okay in the soft food stage) so it never even dawned on me to question it. Eye opener and a "duh" moment for me I guess.

  • I had surgery on Friday and was back at work the following Wednesday. I work at a desk and my boss is very flexible with us having snacks and such while we are working so it really wasn't an issue for me. Everyone is different though. I personally would have gone insane had I had to stay home for longer than 2 weeks.
  • Thanks so much! I think i just started freaking out a little because I honestly cannot remember being any lower than 160 lbs. That's only 18 lbs from where I am now. I know in my mind that I was still over weight at that point but I just can't seem to wrap my mind around anything below that. Instead of being excited, I'm…
  • Welcome and good luck! I had my surgery in September and I remember those feelings of anxiousness. You can do this!
  • Thanks for sharing your experience. I am fairly new on the path and I've worried a lot about what that's going to be like when I've hit my maintenance plan. I don't have anything fabulous to say except Congratulations on your loss!! You can do this! I would be happy to be a cheerleader for you if nothing else. Feel free to…
  • I bought some for the first time recently. I did not care for them at all. I bought 8 bags and know that 7 will go to waste. In fact, I would be happy to send you one to try if you'd like because I would hate for you to waste your money if you hate them. I know some people like them, but truthfully I think they are gross.
  • Great news! Surgery and pre and post op diets seem to be different for everyone. Just listen to your doctor and try your best to stay focused on the end result. Feel free to add me as a friend. I have found that a strong group of "friends" on my feed help me get through the ups and downs. Good luck!
  • I have a desk job and I had surgery on Friday and was back to work the following Wednesday. I am able to snack at my desk though and so it wasn't an issue for me to sip protein drinks and work my way through the restrictions. Physically, I felt fine other than some soreness.
  • Gonna try them! Thanks!
  • Hi there! I too live in Oregon...on the east side. Enjoy your journey!
  • great article!
  • You're a rock star!
  • tell me about these? I've not heard of them? do they taste like potato chips? rice cakes? something of the sort?
  • WoW! I don't even know how to be a support to you with such a hard journey that you've had. So....I will offer all I can. Prayers going up in your behalf. I know stalls are a normal part of the process so be patient and wait it out...I know, I know, easier said than done. Here is hoping that things start looking up for you…
  • Just keep focused on the end result. Pre-surgery liquids and immediately following can be tough, but keep remembering that every day is a step closer to where you want to be. I'm 5 weeks out and feeling "normal" again. My biggest challenge now is just remembering to only dish a little bit of food on my plate because I…
  • I remember those days of being happy if I got in 8 oz of water with my chicken broth. It gets better. I'm 5 weeks out and finally getting in most of my water, most of the days.
