RUNNING
How fast would you expect a fairly active, but overweight girl, to be able to run? I'm 173lbs, 5'3 and run 5ks in 33-34 minutes. Is that fast (for my weight) or do I look like a slowpoke huffin' it on the sidewalk? Not that I'm worried, I'll still run. I'm just curious!

Why do you like running?
I started running in January, and only really started to love it in the past month. My boyfriend bet me dinner out (on him, of course) if I could run 5k without stopping by August first, and last night I ran 6k just to 1-up him :) I love it as a means of exploring, getting out into nature, and feeling my muscles working…

1200 calories
When I first started MFP, I had a lot of trouble eating only 1200 calories a day + half of workout calories, which at first would come to about 1400-1500 a day. Since I've started exercising harder and sticking with it, it's actually been easier to eat less if I work out a lot. Like, I don't feel hungry at all after…

Any triathletes out there?
My ultimate dream is to do a triathlon or duathlon (swimming/running) hopefully by next year. I'm currently overweight, but losing and learning to run quickly. Currently, I bike everywhere (I don't have my own racing bike, just a mountain bike - I have one I could borrow for race-time!). I swim on nice days (learning the…

Running
I started the couch to 5k a while back, made it to week 4 and then decided to just go ahead and run 5k so I did (very slowly). Since then I've been bustin' out 5ks nearly daily but then I noticed the C25K focuses on getting the 5k in like 30 minutes. Should I go back to the app to get my 5k in under 30 minutes or should I…

What's your routine?
I want to hear other peoples action plans for getting healthy! Mine is as follows: Nutrition: 1200 cal/day 25% Carbohydrates 45% Protein 30% Fat (Not that I always meet these goals, but at least trying has been working pretty well for me!) Fitness: Running - 5km at 3-4 times a week Strength training 2-3 times a week…

Trail or treadmill?
I started running in January and only recently started enjoying it. I run on the treadmill because I find I have a hard time keeping my pace when the treadmill isn't doing it for me, so I can't run as far and I get side stitches. On the treadmill, I feel good all the good running vibes and I love it. My boyfriend however…

Running question
Okay, what is a good time for a 5k? I'm currently 178 lbs, female, 5'3 and run 5k in 41 minutes (shaved off 5 minutes from my very first 5k). By next summer, I'm planning on doing some races (and a triathlon!). I'm making a big list of fitness goals(running, swimming, biking, lifting) so I'm at the running section, and I'm…

Running faster!
Hi, I just ran 5km for the first time last night on the treadmill. It took me 46 minutes. I want to go faster now! Any advice? How much should I be pushing myself? Should I just keep running 5km in 46 minutes for a bit? (I wanted to throw up around 43 minutes in which isn't bad! hah)

1200 calories?
MFP is telling me to eat 1200 calories a day... I'm sedentary for the majority of the day (desk job unfortunately), but I work out really hard after work - I'll either run 5km or sprint for 10 minutes and then do weights for an hour. Is 1200 enough? I'm 5'3' and currently 178 lbs, female 21.

Why am I not losing???
I've been at this 150% for 3 weeks now. I eat 1440 calories a day - watch all my macros, I've been eating a PERFECT clean, healthy diet (I didn't always). I take a multivitamin and fish oil everyday. I work out at the gym 4 days a week - running and weightlifting. I horseback ride once a week, and hike and work out on the…
