When should I eat if training late in the evening?
I've been working out after 7pm in the evenings most days this week. My baby daughter goes to sleep and I hit the gym, then eat at around 8.30pm when I'm done - eggs on toast or pasta or something like this, but not sure that this is helping me as the scale isn't moving. I get home from work at around 5pm, so could eat…

UK - best fitness DVD?
I've quit my gym membership as I managed. To lose some weight with running training for a half marathon but keen to include strength training too, I need something that's really going to give me a killer workout. I've got 30 day shred but maybe looking for a full workout and longer session. Any thought greatly appreciated!

Quitting my gym!
oh no! I'm moving flat, and there isn't a gym anywhere close enough, and I don't drive. I need to kit myself out so that I still go running, with some improvised training (friend does kickboxing classes). As the nights draw in and it gets colder, any recommended kit for running in the cold/rain and potentially snow at some…

Has anyone tried this, or any suggestions much appreciated!

my knee
I've been on the treadmill the last 2 days, first day with a 30 minute run (with 2 one minute walking breaks) and then yesterday, a 10 minute run, then 20 mins of interval running. Today, my left knee really hurts! Not happened to me before. What do we think?! I must admit, I normally mix it up and if I run one day, I'll…

sensitivity to salt
I'm not sure if this is related to my training, but whenever I eat something somewhat unhealthy (ie. a sandwich or soup from Pret a Manger) I remain insatiably thirsty for the rest of the day. Any thoughts? Is this normal, or am I just more sensitive? I've only noticed it really in the last month, which is when my diet has…

post-workout
So I've been spinning or doing an hour of cardio after work, which means I don't get back home til 8-8.30 ish and have been buying and eating fresh soups to eat after this (then I can just throw it in the microwave) but I'm sure post-workout, there's better things to eat in the evenings. Any suggestions?
