Low-er Carb-ers
I've reduced my added sugar intake by eliminating a lot of processed foods but my carbs (and sugars) are sky high due to my love of bananas and apples. I'm just wondering if those who have reduced their carbs have also eliminated fruit from their diets?

weighing/measuring foods with cores, pits etc
I usually have a granny smith apply everyday. The entry I choose is 1 Med (154g). Does that mean 154g for the whole apple or just the part you eat? My whole apple on the scale this morning was 227g - I don't eat it until I get to work so it's not like I can see how much the core weighs. Just wondering how others log their…

Need a quick and easy recipe for ham
I took some precooked ham chunks out of my freezer and I need some ideas on how to cook them. I don't have a crock pot so I'm looking for some sort of casserole or other dish that can be prepared in less than 30 min. Any ideas?

Do I need a reset?
I have no idea where I'm at - except confused! (kinda long - sorry!) A bit of background - my starting weight Jan, 2011 was 165lbs - I'm 5'7" - GW 140 lbs. I took MFPs recommendation of 2lbs a week and ate 1200 cals for the first three months. That wasn't nearly enough food so I upped to 1350 for a couple of months. It…

Losing by eating more
I know there's a whole thread out there about those who have lost by eating more - if you're one of those, I'm curious as to what your BMR is and whether or not you take your TDEE into account when calculating your daily calories? Im 5'7" and 153lbs. My goal is 140. When I had my body fat tested I was told my ideal weight…

Changing up cardio
how often should one change up their cardio? I know your body gets used to doing the same thing. I have a mini gym in my basement with a treadmill, stationary bike and stepper. Is it better to alternate machines on a daily basis or do one for a length of time before moving to the next?

How would you count?
I've been out of town for work and had Edo Japan for lunch today. As I know the rice is mostly what raisies the nutrient counts (especially the carbs!), I only had part of the rice while eating the beef and vegetables. I'm really not sure how to count for it. I wish there was a way to add a negative food to my diary.…

Too much fibre?
Is there such a thing? I'm not a very 'regular' person so I mix bran with my yogurt, plus I have a bran muffin every day. That itself puts me right on the fibre amounts for the day. Any vegetables or grain raises the amount even higher so I'm always 'in the red'. Is that a bad thing?
