weighing/measuring foods with cores, pits etc

I usually have a granny smith apply everyday. The entry I choose is 1 Med (154g). Does that mean 154g for the whole apple or just the part you eat? My whole apple on the scale this morning was 227g - I don't eat it until I get to work so it's not like I can see how much the core weighs. Just wondering how others log their fruit?
Not that I watch carbs and sugars from fruits all that closely but they do add up!
