iHeart radio help!
Hi All, I am not a techno wizard, but someone who just might need a word of advice. I listen to iHeart Radio when I run. For the first month or two, I had no issues with the app on my phone (HTC Droid). Then recently I've had trouble while running- mainly there is a huge delay between songs. As in the time between the end…

running longer distances........
Hi Runners (and former runners), When you started switching from running shorter distances to longer distances, what was the biggest mental or physical jump for you? For example, in the C25K program, the jump on the week where you go from running 8 minutes to 20 minutes is the hardest jump for most people. When you started…

arthritis
Ok-- so I don't know if this is where I should post this or not.......... I was just diagnosed as having arthritis in my foot/big toe. I got fitted for orthotics today, and should receive them in a few weeks. My podiatrist recommends still running for as long as I can without pain, as the benefits far outweigh the…

Exercise.tv ideas
Hi All, I just entered the digital (cable tv) age and as of today have exercise.tv!!!! I was browsing through it and saw they have exercise routines (a few JM's 30DS levels 1 and 2, 6 w6 pack, levels 1 ad 2) among many others. Other than the Jillian Michael's workouts, what else should I try. For the record, I run 4 or 5…

What Irkes You?
Hi, I get sooo irked during 5K races when I see parents running with kids in jogging strollers with the front wheels set to swivel. I'm sure it's easier to steer, but it's dangerous for the kids, the runner, and those around them. What's your irk?

NSV from a friend
I was at a La Leche League meeting last night and a friend who I have't seen for months said to me "Wow, Maddymama, you have lost weight!" Not "Have you lost weight?" but "you HAVE last weight." Loved it! For the record, I've lost between 25 and 30 lbs since January, which is the last time I saw my friend.

NSV 5K
Hi All, I started my weightloss journey in January, and started Couch to 5K in February. In March I ran my first 5K, (was not done with C25K, maybe on week 5 or 6) and ran it in 31:39. I was so proud of my time and the fact that I ran 3.2 miles without stopping once. Since then I have finished the C25K, and upped my runs…

NSV... my wedding rings
Hi MFPers, So I've been on a weight loss journey since January. I had DD1 in 2006 and DD2 in 2009, and haven't worked out since I got pregnant with #1. After the birth of #2, my wedding rings did not fit.... they were too tight to wear comfortably, so most days I didn't even bother to try to wear them. I hurt me inside a…
