Hi MFPers,

I just entered the era of the smart phone. What FREE apps for Andriods do you love? I downloaded MFP first so I could enter data on the go..... but now I am stuck for what to try next.

Sell me on your favorite free apps. Why do you love them..... why would I love them??? I have two kids, ages two and five. What would they like on my phone, especially while traveling?
What apps suck? What should I never downoad to my phone?

Thanks a bunch,

~maddymama

I don't know if I'd let kids that young play with my phone, lol! I like Spotify for music, Words with Friends for a game, you should at least try Angry Birds also. I like Evernote for taking notes, you can take pictures of stuff and upload it to the web to remind yourself of things.

Disney puzzles have touch screen drag puzzles that are perfect for keeping a more trustworthy kids occupied in the doctor or dentist office. Cars McQueen and Disney Fairies, and Disney Princesses and there is also one with wild animal pictures... Of course, I am not a kid, but they all kept me happily entertained for hours! LOL
And I am addicted to sudoku ... I use the one by genina games.

Hi! There is a great app called Cardio Trainer. It tracks almost any exercise you do and tells you your calories burned. It will track you via GPS to show you your route, time, mph, etc. Very nice...then you can input the time and calories into MFP!

As for your kids, I have an app on my phone for mine as well. It is called Kid Mode. You enter your childs first name and age and even a pic so they can tap their own picture and play age appropriate games. There is also an option to lock the screen so they cannot leave Kid Mode until you have the phone back. There is no deleting or adding of apps while in the hands of the kids.

    Have fun!!!

CardioTrainer is great (and will connect to the polar bluetooth HRM)! LOVE Pandora!!! Urban Spoon, Angry Birds, Sound Sleep, Instant Heart Rate, Flashlight, FourSquare, Advanced Task cleaner (saves battery life), ScanLife (barcode scanner)

I would not survive without Cozi. You can even share it with other family members so they can see the appointments u put on their calendar!
