Sporatic HRM
So.. I'm exercising and my HRM indicated a heart rate of 123 on second and 152 the next second? It is a new HRM so I don't think it's broken. It never read more than 138 before (my highest HR when exercising). It worried me a bit. Any idea as to why it would have done that? Could the calculations be correct jumping that…

A little new with a lot to say :O)
I started MFP fairly recently and I must say that the experience so far has been beyond pleasant. There is so much support... genuine support! So many people who truly want to help others acheive their goals. It's truly incredible! I have lost 7 lbs so far which is not much but I feel better than I have in a very long…

Don't like exercising?
I'll admit... exercise is not my favorite thing in the world but I love the way my body feels after I exercise. I have been searching for something cardio that is easy and will burn calories and I thought I would share my findings. I just started it this morning and burned a decent amount of calories with 1 mile of walking…

What do you use as a "Motivation Tool"?
Hello Everyone! I'm fairly new here and just beginning to learn my way around MFP. So far, I am muddling through in the hopes of one day reaching my goal and I am astounded at the amount of support people of MFP so selfishly give. It's wonderful! I would like to know what some of the members use as "Motivational Tools". Do…

Dinner Disaster!
Hi Everyone! Ok... I take full responsibility for my family and their picky eating habits. Now... they are not unhealthy eaters, just picky eaters. The problem? I am too! None of us like the same thing so I have basically spent my entire adult life cooking 4 different meals for dinner. Ok... so, maybe 3 different meals and…

Recumbent Bike vs Regular Bike
Hi Everyone! I have a Mongoose bike and I try to ride 3 - 4 times a week. However, I have back and neck problems and was wondering if a recumbent bike would enable me to ride longer. It seems as though you would not burn as many calories on a recumbent bike though. True? Thanks in advance and have a great day!!

Air Walkers - Gazelle
Hi Everyone! I have a LifeGear Airwalker (similar to Gazelle) and was wondering how many calories are burned by using it. I can't find it in the exercise search. I am looking for something I can do at home in conjunction with trail bike riding. I need something very low impact due to neck problems. It would be great to use…

Time restricted meal ideas...
Ok, so I don't like to cook. When I do, it's usually something along the lines of chicken cutlets battered in egg and breadcrumbs (not once, but twice). To go along with the lovely, healthy chicken cutlets? Yummy cheesy mashed potatos with butter (lots of it). So... now that I've made myself a nice new craving, I would be…

Hello Everyone!
I'm new here and am desperately seeking my old body! :) I went to Busch Gardens with my family a couple of weeks ago and realized I just don't have the strength or stamina I used to. I am a self-proclaimed "lazybutt" and am hoping MyFitnessPal will encourage me to stick with the program. :) Best of luck to all the newbies…
