Carbs by % instead of grams?
So I've been trying to manage low carb by percentage instead of number of grams. I have MFP set to 15% carb (most of which is from raw veggies, so a lot of it is fiber anyhow) and I use that as my max. It seems to be working. My main question is where do I set the goals for the others? Right now I'm working with 45% fat…

Thank you
I will probably never post very much because I'm just not much of a talker, but I'm so glad this group is here and want to thank you all for the fabulous threads that I'm reading. I will likely never be a zero carb person even though I see nothing wrong with those of you that are. I simply like my veggies and Greek yogurt…

Low budget, low calorie, high nutrient: help!
Help! I know how to do low calorie and high nutrient. My problem is that when I lost weight and got healthy before I was able to spend basically what I wanted on groceries and now I really can't. My second problem is that I have very little freezer space, so all the buy in bulk and prep ahead stuff doesn't really work for…

anyone have any tips for getting a kid to gain weight?
He's only 10 and he's very small, so weight training is not exactly a good option. Just eat more doesn't work because he's just not that hungry.

New 5x5 chick
I started back weight training last week. I had never done it on my own with no trainer and not in a class. It has taken me a week to find and decide on this program. I was sold as soon as I read the name Arnold. I want to be strong and look hot, not just look hot. I will be starting 5x5 as my official weight program…

Can't find this press listed in exercises
So, I went back to the gym today, and I think I did a better job with my weight lifting, but I can't find one of the lifts I did in the exercises here on MFP. The site that I got the instructions for the lift from called it a "close grip triceps bench press". Anyone got a clue?

Question for women
Or men whose wives/girlfriends/etc have had the same issue I am of course going to ask my doctor about it, but I am curious if anyone has had this problem and already gotten answers from a doctor. Sometimes after a particularly intense workout I will have some spotting for a couple hours. Has anyone else experienced this?

Feedback from lifters, especially women, please?
Today I did my first ever lifting workout that was not machines and was not a body pump class. I had no trainer to guide me or anything. I had not lifted even on machines or as body pump in a bit over a year. This is what I did Dead Lift - 75 for 5 sets of 5 reps Bicep curl - 45 for 5 sets of 5 reps Squat - 50 for 4 sets…

Things to look for in a gym?
I've never really chosen a gym. The ones I have used previously have been chosen based solely on price. I'm considering a change because of location. I rarely actually go to the gym and I think making it easier to go by finding one closer to home would help. There are a few different ones not too far from me, and this time…

Help?
So, I am doing the same things I was doing the last time I lost weight, but it feels like I am not having the same success. I am not really sure if I am doing something wrong or if I am just being too hard on myself because I know where I could be now if I hadn't given up. There are differences between then and now. The…

I'm looking for some new music for my workout playlists. What do you workout to?
