Iron rich foods?
I recently found out that I am anemic. The doctor has put me on a super dose of Iron and Vitamin B12 to help absorb the iron into my system. She wants me to eat iron rich food. I know that Iron rich foods are green leafy vegetables like spinach and kale. I also know that red meat contains Iron. I do not eat any red meat so…

Alternatives to Whole Grain\Whole Wheat tortillas
I love to make wraps for a quick meal, however I recently discovered that I am highly sensative to wheat. Not gluten, but just wheat. Does anyone have some ideas as replacments for whole grain/whole wheat tortillas? I am tried the corn tortillas and they are not great in wraps. I have also used romaine lettuce leaves. Is…

Learning how to get a consistant pace
I have signed up for my first Marathon in January 2013, but I am noticing that I do not maintain a consistant pace while running. I have never been a runner. I am more of a play sports while running kind of girl. I am using the run/walk interval training from Jeff Galloway. I currently do a 5 min run to 1 walk. Can anyone…

What's in our salad dressings?
I like to read labels to see what I am eating, but what should be simple like Italian dressing has all of this other stuff in it. What is all the stuff that I can't pronounce? I mean seriously I just made an Italian dressing with Red Wine Vinegar, Olive Oil, sea salt and pepper, and Italian seasoning. Maybe someone can…

Recipes for great dressings needed
One of my New Years Goals is to make my own dressings from scratch. I love ranch dressing, but even the light ranch or FF have so many added things that I don't want to eat. I have a great ranch dressing recipe that I made for my family at Christmas, but now I am on the hunt for other dressings. I hate sweet dressings so…

Insanity vs P90x
I am currently doing P90x. We are in week 8. I saw the infomercial for Insanity and thought that it looked intense. I am trying to gauge which one is better or can they really be compared. I saw some people on MFP that have completed insanity and thought the difference in body composition was amazing. I am just trying to…

Holiday Goals and expectations
The holidays officially start on Monday with the arrival of Halloween. So I decided this year I am going to enjoy them, but not "ENJOY" them. I have come too far to allow the next two months derail me. I really want to hit 199 by New Years and that will not happen if I let the Holidays take over. Goals for the Holidays…

Runner's High was a myth until today
 I just did my last training run for my sprint triathlon that I am doing on Sunday. I have never experienced runner's high until today. Let me tell you I am not a runner by trade. My motto for running is I will run when I am chasing something or something is chasing me. Many people told me that the runner's high…

Strangers in the dressing room
Last night I had a great NSV in the dressing room at Coldwater Creek. I am now a size 14 misses in many things, down from a 22W two years ago, but my dressing room high was quickly turned into anger over what I heard going on in the next dressing room. A woman was with her mom trying on pants. I saw her come out a couple…

Why America is one of the fattest nations in the world
Check out this link. A guy is suing White Castle because his 290lb body can no longer fit in their booth. This makes me so mad because he will probably win his case and use it as an excuse to get even bigger. I am sympathtic no more. I understand the feelings of being fat and not fitting in a booth at the restaurant, but…

I am looking for some good running music
I have been trying to do the Pod runner series on my iPod to get better at running, but I really do not like techno music that much. Can anyone recommend some other running collections that have either pop or rock music with a steady beat for good pacing that I can download? Pod runner is great because it is free.
