Holiday Goals and expectations

The holidays officially start on Monday with the arrival of Halloween. So I decided this year I am going to enjoy them, but not "ENJOY" them. I have come too far to allow the next two months derail me. I really want to hit 199 by New Years and that will not happen if I let the Holidays take over.
Goals for the Holidays
Halloween- I will not eat more than 3 pieces of Halloween candy. I would say none, but I am human and I am allowing myself to have a few but not a lot. This year we are giving out fruit snacks instead of candy because I think they taste like rubber, but the kids like them. So I will not eat them
November
Doing a 5K race with my kids under the huge Christmas Lights display at Lake Lanier in GA..
I am hosting Thanksgiving at my house so that means I get to control the menu.
This year we will have Green Beans with Slivered Almonds, A nice green salad, skinny garlic mashed potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, and my moms stuffing. My goal is to load up on greens and have a little stuffing and half a sweet potato.
Dessert is always homemade pies. My family prefers to make everything from scratch so we get to control what goes in.
December
Run a 10K
Christmas Dinner we usually do Salmon and Shrimp with some sides.
New Years Day
Resolution Run 5K
My WW leader always says you have to set your expectations and realize that the holidays are a time to celebrate with your family and create cherished memories not really having to do with food. Each holiday is just a day so plan for that day ahead of time.
What are some of your goals and expectations during the holiday season?
