What workouts/programs are you currently using?
Hey, everyone, what program or workouts is everyone using at the moment? I'm on my second run-through of Fighter's Codex, as well as the 30-day 20,000 knee highs challenge.

Darebee Local
I just saw that there's a new page about setting up local Darebee workshops. I'm so excited! Here's the link. I really want to set one up with some of my friends.

Working Out With An Injury?
I slipped on the sidewalk yesterday and really cut up my knee. It's nothing serious, just some bruising and a really nasty cut (I was told I could get stitches, but that they weren't necessary). I didn't work out today, as it's still very sore, but I recently had to stop working out for almost 2 weeks due to a very bad…

Protein powders question.
Does anyone know of any protein powders (preferably unflavored) out there that have few to no additives? All of the ones I've found have at least a few vitamins and minerals added, and most of them have a lot. I don't really need all of that extra stuff, particularly all of the vitamin A and iron they put into them. Do…

Washington State Senate Passes Same-Sex Marriage.
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/02/us/washington-state-senate-passes-gay-marriage-bill.html On the one hand, I'd like to congratulate my state senate for doing what's right. On the other hand, the fight is far from over. Still, I think this is worthy of a toast.

Jillian Michaels for Wii.
I did the full-body circuit training on Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2011 for the second time, today, and I actually flipped off my Wii at one point. I even wrote a blog about it: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/robogreifer/view/in-which-i-m-introduced-to-my-arch-nemesis-175484. Someone please tell me this isn't…

Non-Clean Eaters.
I respect that not everyone wants to eat like this, but I have a couple of people I've friended that like to not only brag about the fact that they eat junk (junk they admit to knowing is bad for them), but they bash clean eaters for not wanting to eat that junk. I've told them before that I respect how they eat and I…

Horror Movie Suggestions?
I'm in need of some horror movie suggestions (about 31 of them). I mean, suggest all you want, but I need a minimum of 31 movies I've never seen before. One for every day in October. About the only horror I won't watch is the stuff like Saw. Other than that, though, I'll take any and all suggestions I can get. Cheesy…

All-Natural Frozen Chocolate Peanut Butter Pies
This is my version of the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie recipe previously posted on the forum: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/239778-chocolate-peanut-butter-pie-130-cals It's made with (mostly) full-sugar, full-fat, all-natural ingredients, so it's 163 calories per pie, not 130 calories. Unfortunately, some of these…

Processed Food: Addictive?
Anyone know of any good articles or research out there about the addictive qualities of processed/fast food? I know I've read stuff, but I've never bothered to bookmark any of it, and now a friend is interested. Thanks in advance for any help!

For All The Vegans And Vegetarians Out There.
I stumbled across this while I was looking for studies about the addictive qualities of processed foods (random, I know) and I thought I'd share. How To Win An Argument With A Meat-Eater: http://www.vegsource.com/news/2009/09/how-to-win-an-argument-with-a-meat-eater.html It's a bit outdated, I know, but I was still amused.…

Salted Peanut Butter: Worth The Sodium?
I go through peanut butter quickly, and those small jars of Adam's unsalted just don't really cut it, anymore. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the unsalted version in a larger jar. My question is: would the sodium really make it worth buying the larger jar? I average under 1400 for sodium pretty much every day.…

Another, More Nerdy NSV.
I put on my TARDIS/DeLorean time machine crash t-shirt, today, and I happened to choose the pants I bought for my 11th Doctor costume last Halloween (which I need a belt to keep up, now, by the way), so I decided, hey, why don't I try on the tweed jacket I bought for that same costume! When I put the costume together, the…

Unintentional NSV.
DUDE. I just accidentally tightened my belt to the 3rd hole. It's never even SEEN the 3rd hole, before.
-
Sort Of An NSV.
I went to see two different movies, this week, and I found myself smuggling in a banana and some dried apricots, instead of the usual chocolate or cookies.
-
Unexpected NSV.
I was trying on some of my old pants to gauge where I'm at, and I found a pair of boxer shorts I made in middle school home ec. I decided, WTH, I'll try these on, too, expecting to not even be able to pull them all the way up. THEY FIT. And they were actually loose around the legs and waist. \o/

Supplement My Protein: Yes Or No?
I'm consistently under for my recommended protein intake on the days I don't eat fish (which is 5 of 7 days). I'm sure there's some margin for error in there, but I'm a vegetarian, so it's still a concern. The only dairy I eat on a daily basis is greek yogurt and fish is the only meat I eat. I do have 1 or 2 servings of…

Need Help With Vegetarian Sources Of Protein And Iron.
OK, so I'm technically pescetarian, but I only have two servings of fish a week. I'm working on cutting the majority of dairy out of my diet, though, and I'm having trouble getting enough protein. I've also been having trouble getting enough iron for awhile. I know there are a lot of non-animal protein sources, like nuts…

Fats.
I've been going over my fat allotment for the past few days. It's mostly from cheese and nuts, with a few other minor sources, like one hard-boiled egg a day, a tablespoon of butter some days, a small amount of chocolate, and today I had some olives (mmmm). I usually only go over by a few, and I stay under on calories.…

Visiting Family.
So, I'm going to visit my family during the first week of July. I posted on Facebook that I've switched to a pescetarian diet, but I'm never sure what they do or don't read on there, and I doubt any of them even know what that is. They're all very much carnivores, and I'm mostly at their mercy food-wise when I visit (I…

Happy Towel Day!

Sugars.
Should I really be that concerned if I'm going over my sugars for the day because of fruits? The only refined sugar I'm eating is in my chocolate, and that's only 7g. I get some from the milk in my weekly/bi-weekly (unflavored) latte, too, but that's about it.

Exercise Calories.
I'm having trouble filling up those extra calories I get from exercising. I wouldn't really see it as much of a problem except for the fact that I always get hungry in my last hour of work and a couple hours before bed, and an apple just isn't enough to quell that. Any suggestions for quick, healthy, vegetarian-friendly…

Hello!
I finally decided to introduce myself, here. I'm Jaq. I'm 25, 5' 8", and currently weigh 278. I actually didn't know my weight when I originally joined. I only knew I'd been getting sick a lot, recently, and I wanted that to stop, so I decided to get healthy. I've completely altered my diet, not only in quantity but also…
