Walking
I am 66 years old and try to walk every day 5 days a week. I started out walking 20 minutes a day and now walk an hour a day. If I walk 5 days in a row for an hour, each day, it almost feels like it is too much by the end of the week. My question to an expert in the know is: Is it better to walk, say, 20 minutes a day 3…

How can I determine my ideal weight?
I have been a member on mfp for almost a year. I have lost 40 pounds thus far and am currently at 223 pounds. I am about 5' 10"+, male, and 61 years old. The charts probably say I should be 165-185 pounds for my height, but I have a very large frame. I feel like I should lose at least another 20-25pounds, but not very much…

I know that not many calories are burned when doing an upper body workout, but have heard that calories are burned faster while toning muscle. I want to tone, but continue to burn as many calories per day to lose weight.…

I have a question for real experts on walking:
I am 60 years old and started a walking routine back in February of this year. I have been walking every day during the work week for some 60 minutes (for me, that is about 5k or 3 miles, with half of that time uphill.) My question is: Should I continue to do this every day of the work week or would it be better to skip a…
