Depression
Are there any fellow MPFers who suffer from depression on here? I've just been put back on fluoxetine and struggle with low self-esteem. My lifting and fitness routine help greatly in terms of endorphin release etc. but I still have trouble transferring the benefits of a better body to the mind, so to speak.

Tricep imbalance = wonky bench press
Hi, I've got a problem when benching. When I up the weight to anything less than 8 reps my left side starts lagging. I can feel my left tricep beginning to give way after a few reps, leading to the barbell slanting. Recurring back injury/Pilates
It has been suggested to me that I should try Pilates for a lower back injury. Anybody strengthened their lumbar region using this?

Lifting with a weakened lower back
Hi all, I've been suffering on and off with a bulging/herniated L5-S1 disc for the past few years, that can flare up randomly. I'm currently squatting 75kg for 5-6 reps and deadlifting 100kg for 5-6 reps (1rm 145kg) How should I adjust my squatting and deadlifting in terms of working around a weakened lumbar region? It's…
