Eat back exercise calories or eat at TDEE -20%
I'm confused on this. I have my calorie goal at 1550. According to several calculators my TDEE is around ~1933. If I calculate TDEE less 20% for fat loss, the amount is ~1545. If I'm burning an extra 500-800 calories a day with exercise, MFP says my net calories is usually below 1100...while my actual food intake is around…

Throwing up after hard physical exercise
For all you fitness gurus out there... My 23 year old daughter is working hard on getting back into shape after having a baby in December. She has a "friend" who is helping her during her workouts. Calls this friend her personal trainer (but no real certification or education on fitness). So the other day my daughter posts…

Water vs liquid
I really hate to drink plain water unless I'm thirsty. So I drink a lot of iced tea and crystal light. I've been counting all liquid as water to get my 8-9 glasses a day. BMR Tool & Goal Setting
I'm not sure I understand the whole BMR tool and how to set the calorie goal. According to the BMR tool, my BMR is 1,571. I burn an average of 400 per day in exercise (if you take the weekly amount of 2786/7). I've been keeping my net calories to 1,400. (And I haven't been seeing any weight loss in the last month!) So is…

Frustrated and need advice

MFP states the following in my Goals section: Calories Burned From Normal Daily Activity 2,110 calories/day Net Calories Consumed* Your Daily Goal 1,200 calories/ day Daily Calorie Deficit 910 calories Projected Weight Loss 1.8…

Anyone read the book "The Belly Fat Cure"?
I watched an episode of Rachael Ray and saw she was promoting a book by Jorge Cruise called "The Belly Fat Cure". This book talks about cutting back sugars dramatically and reducing carbs. Has anyone read the book and actually followed it? Is is really a healthy way of eating to lose weight?

New to myfitnesspal...
Hi everyone. I started myfitnesspal on May 26 after realizing that I had gained 22 pounds in the past 3 months. Not only was I eating unhealthly (I'm a stress eater), but I wasn't excersing enough. Then I find out that I am pre-menopausal and have to start taking hormones. I'm hoping by combing a healthy diet, basic…
