Intermittent Fasting
Is anyone doing the 16/8 intermittent fasting? I've been doing it for about a week and a half now and I'm never hungry so my concern is that I'm not getting enough calories but I do make sure that I get my proper nutrients so I'm wondering if it's okay as long as I'm getting the nutrients

Who's doing it? I'm doing 16/8 but not very hungry during my feeding window of 9-5. I make sure I get all my nutrients so assuming calories don't really matter.

Carb Cycling
Has anyone tried carb cycling to confuse your metabolism? Basically, maintain your diet's calorie and protein intake but alternate carbs and fat. I'm trying to determine the correct schedule of carbs and fat....what days and how many of each.

Turkey Salad by Diane
I just made some awesome turkey salad ...makes 3 servings (1/2 cup ea.) Hopefully, if you search for the title, you will find and try it. Great for lunch when wrapped in Extreme Welness Low Carb High Fiber Tortilla. Sometimes, I open it up right before eating and add some crisp lettuce leaves...DELICIOUS!!

Weighing meat
To track the correct nutrients I'm eating, should I weight my meat before or after cooking? Does the chart incorporate the changes in weight when calculating nutritional values for the correct cooked total or how do we account for the difference?

Intake Goals
Ok, so they set the intake goals of calories, fat, sugar, etc......but I always go over the protein and have a hard time meeting the carbs...don't seem to be able to balance the food out to get them in the way they suggest. New Goal
Ok, I originally started out with a goal of 30 pounds but as I approach that goal, I decided to set it farther away so it is now set for 50 pounds total.....I will be very happy if I can reach that one....and I CAN!!!! Love this site!

Tracking Nutrients
Can anyone tell me what the top five categories I should be tracking? At present, I track Calories, Carbs, Fat, Salt and Sugar......I tend to immediately go over on the sugar a few points and sometimes on the salt but I stay on track with all else. Are these the most important? Always try to drink a lot of water when I see…

Protein
Ok, I keep going over on protein....every single day I am over! Is that acceptable? I mean, I eat a lot of protein because those are the foods that don't have a lot of carbs and calories....plus the sugar free jello and stuff like that......any input on this topic out there?

Walked on day off!
Today was my day NOT to walk but I ended up walking anyway because I dropped my car off at Firestone and walked to work....a nice little 15 - minute brisk walk in this humidity and low 80-degree temperature.....lol. Did I do good or what?
