Intermittent Fasting

Is anyone doing the 16/8 intermittent fasting? I've been doing it for about a week and a half now and I'm never hungry so my concern is that I'm not getting enough calories but I do make sure that I get my proper nutrients so I'm wondering if it's okay as long as I'm getting the nutrients

As long as you are eating at least 1200 calories daily…and you should be eating a percentage of your exercise calories, too!0

Here's another chart for you... Regardless of what method you use to reduce calories (which is all IF will do), you still have to eat. And eat ENOUGH.

Your diary shows you have set yourself the minimum calorie goal and are mostly under that goal.
You are also badly missing your protein goal.
No it's not ok to consistently eat too few calories and no, you are clearly not "getting the nutrients" especially the most important one when attempting fast weight loss.
Suggest you address both issues now before you suffer the long term consequences.8 -

Endorsed, speaking as someone who, like you (OP) is female and 65 (that's what your profile says, anyway).
Besides the importance of protein during weight loss, there's some evidence that we utilize our protein intake less efficientlyas we age, and that for us older folks it may be beneficial to spread it through the day. Both of those things, IMO, would make it more important to not to lowball your protein goal while IF-ing.
(I'm explicitly *not* suggesting you avoid IF for reasons of protein utilization. I have nothing against IF, even though I don't do it myself. I'm just saying that anything that limits our ability to utilize protein makes it more important to hit reasonable levels as a starting poin. I make it a bigger point to hit a reasonable protein minimum on account of being vegetarian (as well as being older), for example.)5 -
Your probably eating more than you think. There's enough controlled studies that show people underestimate how much they eat and many show a pretty big difference. Anyway, IF can effect your satiety and since it's working well for you just make sure you talk to your Dr. about what your doing, the diet your on and blood work to determine and shortcomings to nutrition. It's also important to periodically eat at maintenance, in other words take a break from calorie restriction.0
