Kind of sucky NSV
I noticed that I'm not burning as much as I was according to my HRM because I'm not as big-- AND the smaller I get, the fewer calories I can eat to keep my weight loss going! Good things, yes, but kind of sucky! Haha

A 27-year-old junior?!
A little NSV for today: A friend of mine gave me jeans many months ago that she bought but never wore because the size wasn't right (don't ask me why she didn't just take them back, but whatever- I got free jeans!). Anyway, I saw that they were juniors size 17 and my heart kind of fell because even when I was a junior (in…

NSV about stress
A little background on me: I tipped the scales at over 300 lbs in Feb 2010 when I decided to give up fast food and pop for Lent. I quickly decided to take it further and wanted to get healthy because around that time my grandfather passed away (not from being unhealthy, but it was a wake up call for me that I was shaving…

NSV -- Never thought I'd see the day
I just finished week 5 of the c25k program. This week was crazy! The first day the longest you jog is 5 minutes 3 times with walking between, the second day is 8 minutes twice with walking between, and then the third day they expect you to jump all the way up to jogging 20 minutes straight! I never thought I would be able…

Holy NSVs on my Birthday!
Yesterday was my birthday so I went shopping with birthday coupons to Lane Bryant and DSW (and saved over $100 at each place but that's not weight loss journey related). So at LB, I got a pair of 16Tall khaki pants (on clearance)! I honestly can't remember the last time I have worn 16 in pants! And all but one shirt was…

Mio Motiva Petite HRM?
Hey everyone-- I was just wondering if anyone had tried the Mio Motiva Petite HRM. I asked for a Polar F6 for my birthday and my parents got me this instead. I haven't opened it yet because I think I'm going to end up exchanging it for what I wanted, but I thought I'd see if anyone knew more about it. Is it accurate? Does…

Inspirational Quote
I'm watching A League of Their Own on AMC and had to post a quote that really feels applicable to my weight loss journey: "It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The 'hard' is what makes it great."

Easy/ Quick food that's not all processed crap?
I'll be the first to admit-- I like easy, quick, grab-it-and-go food. Problem is, most of the stuff I've been eating lately is "good for me" based on the calories, fat, fiber, and protein (which are generally the 4 things I look at when picking something), BUT it has a ton of sodium and unpronounceable chemicals as well.…

Heartburn?
I just have noticed recently that I have been getting pretty bad heartburn after I eat no matter how much-- could it be the "good" foods I'm eating? Does this happen to anyone else? I haven't tried any remedies yet, so I'm open to that as well. Thanks!

Awesome day
So I've been *half-heartedly* attempting the Couch25K program because I dream of one day being a runner. I pretty much detest running. I was doing week 2 last week and was really struggling with the jogging for 90 seconds- to the point where I would cheat the last 5 or 10 or 15 seconds of it. I finished the week and looked…

Hi everyone!
Hey everybody-- just came to introduce myself. I'm Megan, a 26-year-old grad student living in Ohio right now (originally from the Pittsburgh area). I just started on this site, but have been watching my nutrition for over a year (off and on). I've lost 55 lbs so far, but still have a goal to lose about 80 more. Hopefully…
