NSV -- Never thought I'd see the day

I just finished week 5 of the c25k program. This week was crazy! The first day the longest you jog is 5 minutes 3 times with walking between, the second day is 8 minutes twice with walking between, and then the third day they expect you to jump all the way up to jogging 20 minutes straight! I never thought I would be able to jog for 20 minutes straight! This is coming from the girl who DREADED the "mile day" in gym class in high school because she couldn't even jog for one lap-- 1/4 of a mile! I jogged for 6 laps-- 1 1/2 miles!!!
You can do ANYTHING you put your mind to-- push your body past what you think you can do and you will surprise yourself!

Just an update on this-- a couple days ago, I finished week 6 of the program and ran for 25 minutes straight on my high school track because I was at home for the long weekend. What a feeling to conquer the track that had defeated me every time in high school! :-D0 -

I thought I wouldn't be able to move on either, but have been able to push through once I start. I still do better after I pass the first 5-8 minutes of jogging and just keep going in my rhythm. Your body may surprise you if you try to push it! Good luck and keep with it! :-D0 -
Good job!!! It seemed so daunting to me too. I felt like I conquered the world when I completed that.
best wishes.0
