First Cut: But I'm STARVING! =(
So I've been averaging (over the week) about 1800 - 1750 calories per day while lifting as heavy as a could 3 to 4 times a week and doing 20 to 30 minutes of cardio about twice a week. My BMR is 1460 and my estimated maintenance is 1760 calories per day. On days I lifted I ate all or almost all of my calories back. First…

Cheaper than Shotblox! SO GOOD!
So today I mixed up a batch of fruit leather. I've been using gummie bears or GU for my gym workouts but it's been costing too much and I hated the taste of the food coloring in the gummie bears. I threw a peach, an apple, three carrots, a cup of prunes, a cup of dried apricots, a cup of applesauce, and four tbs honey, in…

anyone training for a marathon?
First time or experienced marathoners? I am not new to running but this will be my first marathon. I'm building back up to training after an injury. Would love to know some other people who are training for a marathon this year also... :-)

working out while sore?
Did heavy weight training on Sunday, full body. Did 25 min light cardio yesterday. Had planned on training again today but I'm still fairly sore from Sunday. It's been 48+ hours. Should I wait longer?

I've lost about 25…

What causes a "crash" while lifting weights?
Worked out pretty hard tonight. But about half way through started feeling a little nauseated... after another 15 minutes I had to quit, and go lay down in the locker room with my feet up. My blood pressure dropped like a rock. After about a half an hour I felt well enough to go home. Two hours later I was back to (tired)…

After a year or so of elliptical and recumbant bike, and few yoga classes, I started lifting weights. I love the way I feel. I love that my knee pain is already down significantly. I like knowing I'm increasing…

Okay! Help! My very first time lifting!
Hey ya'll... Well. It's that time. I am at the weight I want, and I'm ready to start lifting heavy and look like I want... and run without worrying constantly about injury. My first time was day before yesterday. I did basically a full body workout... 2 sets of 8 reps, one final set of 7 reps on each machine. They were…
