Definitely shop at thrift stores as it gets expensive really quick. Also find a good seamstress and have your larger sizes altered. Especially for the stuff you don't want to give away.1 -

Re: Throwing out my XL clothes today
Congrats!!! I too am getting to the point where I will not hang on to larger clothes "just in case I gain the weight back". I am determined to maintain a healthy weight.3
