first early morning reading was 134, then true fast of 10 hrs was 111. My body wants protein before bed ...not sure how to combat this.0

It seems to be steadily coming down. That's great!
IT IS! Thank you!
Learned a lesson this morning, however. I woke @ 5:52, ckecked my blood/sugar level, took my insulin, and went back to sleep. I woke @ 9:30 a.m., shaking! Badly! My blood/sugar was 78.
I have learned that I need to eat if I take my insulin! Never thought of that before, but now, I know!1 -
107. I had dropped my Metformin in April because my strength training was messing with my blood glucose and causing some hypoglycemia.
However, the last couple of weeks I'd been seeing 120 - 150 fasting blood glucose and finally had enough. Switched to 500mg of Metformin XR and that seems to be doing the trick. I hope to wean off of that over the next 3 - 6 months.2 -

When you reduce your meds, does your doctor know, or is this part of the overall plan? I ask, because a few months back, the diabetes doctor told me I could start reducing my glicizide, so I did for two weeks. My sugars went back up, so I went back to my regular dosage. Now, with other complications, it's still a little high, so I won't reduce quite yet. My family doctor knows.0 -
