Though I would start this weeks post...sorry it's a little late. It's nice to look back on each week to see where we've been.

Today is a fasting day for me and I am all planned out!! On the weekend I was a complete cookie monster :p . Note to self...only buy cookies that the kids like, but I don't; this will help my cookie binging...

To all of you fasting today, have a great cleanse and to those who aren't >:) ...just joking!

I'm fasting today. It's cold and snowy here in NE Ohio (USA) and I just want to hibernate and eat... So, I think I'll have some more HOT tea and another cup of water, lol

I'm here fasting with ya! Let's get this par-tay started.

5.5 weeks until NYE! Tried on my dress I'm wearing for a wedding that day and I'm excited. I wore it last year for another party with 30 more pounds on me, so it's a lot more fun this time :P

Not quite done yet, but had a good fast day today.

I also started this morning at 58kg. That hasn't happened in a while on a Monday. I tend to retain 1-3lb of water over the weekend and the last month or so Monday was always over 58.5. Anyway, starting a fast at 58 is great for me and with another fast planned for Wednesday, I should make my goal of going to the makeover at 57kg on Thursday. I'm very happy with that as 56.6kg was the lowest I achieved and I seem to be getting back there. :p

    Have a great week!

Just finished my fast with egg and green beans. Still feel a bit hungry, but I will continue to chat..."I can eat tomorrow" in my head until I go to sleep. Have a great Monday everyone :)

Yes keep that inner dialogue going! Tomorrow you can eat to your TDEE (I almost said hearts content but realized that could be far too much food!!)

I don't know what it is about eggs and green beans that makes me want to giggle. I am trying to imagine them on a plate together and it they seem like such an odd couple. Maybe I better just stop right here...

Yes, the wonderful thing about 5:2 is that the suffering is not all week, 24/7. Love it.

Yesterday was a fast day for me. Today I was starving and I've been eating all day, peanut butter, cashews, oranges, bananas... I don't know why the thought of a potato or pasta or any kind of meat is completely unappealing at the moment, but I'm shoveling nuts and fruit into my mouth like there's no tomorrow. I am right at my TDEE but still really tempted to go back to the cupboard where I know I've got some nice almonds stored away...

Fasted yesterday, got up this morning and went for a run. Actually more a shuffle than a run but it broke through the "I don't wanna" that has been going on in my head for about 3 weeks. 10:35 now and I'm starting to wonder what to have for breakfast...brunch..whatever.
I had a target of being under 12 stone for my 50th at the end of the year. I'm going to do 4:3 for a couple of weeks to see how that helps. Hoping that combining that with 3 good exercises sessions a week will see off 7 pounds. I know it's unlikely as I am closing in on my goal weight but I can't not try!

Yummmm...Starbucks...Oh sorry got off track. I had one of those today (non-fast day today) Skinny venti expresso frappacihino with a shot of caramel (162 cals) :) Okay...enough about Starbucks!!

I found out why I was so hungry yesterday. I didn't eat the yogurt I planned so ended up being under the 500. Makes up for maybe one of the cookies over the weekend.

Fast day for me again tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a great week. Yummmm Starbucks...stop it....sorry :#

Have to pass one on my way home from work, so think I might pop in and go for an americano. That will fill me up until I have food later.

You can do it!!! I'll be 50 in February so I'm on a similar mission, I want to be back in the healthy BMI range by the time I turn 50!

Americano will work - great idea!!! I often get them at noon hour on a fast day and put a tiny bit of cream in it. :)

Fast day is over for me and I did really well yesterday! I've had a few bad weeks so it was nice to finally feel more in control! I had a few moments where I thought I was going to starve to death, but they passed in like 5 or 10 minutes! Boy that sounds so dramatic hehe. Today I'm going to try to eat just under my TDEE as I need to get moving the scale in the right direction...it's been mixed up and going the wrong way for some odd reason :o

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

Starbucks is sounding ahhhhmazing with my chilly fingers and toes today! I'm curious what temp it is where you are- I think I need to suck it up because at least I'm not buried in snow! 20-30 degrees F here.

    11 degrees celsius in london (51 F) And I think I'm cold :#
  • Fist fast day went well yesterday  I was surprised how well my body coped with it actually... here's hoping tomorrow's fast goes as well and that you're all doing fabulously!

I have a question: who exercises on a fast day? I was thinking i will go for my walks or do aerobics on non-fast days. If you exercise on a fast day do you find yourself getting a bit too light headed and knackered? x

I do light exercises on my fast days...two miles walking, elliptical, etc. When I bike or lift weights I don't feel very good. It could be mind over matter too :)

As for temps...it's 7 F here right now. It was -3 last night with -20 wind chills. It's COLD in the mid-west and we have about 4 or 5 inches of snow! At least I don't live in Buffalo, NY!!

Light exercise only...nothing anaerobic. I did a 5k on fast day...big mistake...nothing to fuel you.

Calahonda - it's like most things on 5:2...try it out and see how you feel. There are days, when I can do strength exercises better than cardio or vice versa on a fast day. Sometimes, my body doesn't feel like exercise on a fast day. Every fast is different. IMO it also depends on if you are used to exercise and / or fasting. If you are new to both, ease into it.

I exercise on my fast days. Just cardio though because it is easy to control how hard or easy I work depending on how I feel. I save the weights for when I have something for my muscles to chew on.
