Nice shoes Wiglet! I love purple. How'd they work?0
-
YES Laura.. I love purple too. The shoes worked great during my long run today. Definitely better with my arch support insoles in them. My feet feel great still!!

I wish I could find some fun shoes but my feet are so finicky: narrow heels, between sizes, can't stand arch support. I've been wanting trail running shoes but have yet to find something even remotely close to working.0 -

I have narrow heels + wide toes. That's why I switched to the Altras (they have a wider toe box that allows your feet to splay the way they naturally want to). Also, I use the extra eyelet on the shoes to tighten them better around the ankle/heel to keep them from slipping - this I've had to do with all running shoes. I wear arch support insoles because of my flat feet/prior bunionectomies... otherwise, I feel a lot of pressure/achiness in that area.
I haven't tried these lace anchors, but I may now... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rhhEJ-7ca00 -

We don't have many shopping choices where I live; I'll have to do a day trip to where there's actually shops with more shoe choices than Dick's.0
-
Laura... maybe open the vid in youtube? It had sound when I watched. Weird.
I order all my Altras online because our local run stores mostly don't carry them. Or have only one model, but not mine.0 -

Thanks Wiglet! I'm rather impressed with myself as well In January I did only maybe 30 miles. And eventually spring will come (hopefully? It snowed here today!) so it will be even easier to get out.0

Way to go Wiglet and Marathon!0
-
I made it halfway through the day before I realized today starts April! March total for me is 103.37. I'm planning to slowly bump my running miles and keep walking on my strength and rest days so I'll set a slightly higher monthly goal of 125. Eventually I'll go back and add up miles for the first months of the year to keep my year total.0
