That's beautiful Wiglet! I went to our local lake this evening too although it's more of a pond compared to yours. I did see several species of waterfowl though (bird nerd!); I love spring!!!!0

Just purchased a pair of Asics, so far very good to my feet! Walking has become the way I get around. Beginning to like it! Walking a 10 k in May, looking at a H M later in the year, maybe even a Marathon.0 -

mine was at a lake about a half hour's drive from my home. But they have @26mi of paved trails... we got to see a bald eagle flying around, tho.. so awesome (basically the rest of wildlife we saw boiled down to the fact that squirrels must mate like crazy!!)

Our lake has just over a mile if you are willing to brave the road/parking areas. If you add on the preserve trail it's maybe two miles. We do have good wildlife there- beaver, muskrat, fish, herons, songbirds, ducks, geese, coots, osprey, endangered butterflies. It's lots of looping to get some distance. And I am too lazy to make the ten minute trip there too often. I'm such a bum.
Are you walking to get places Marathon? I've always been curious what that would be like but have only been able to when I studied in Australia a semester in college and that was such a novelty- there were flocks of cockatoos everywhere!0 -
