    5.5 running into a 40 mph head wind with gust to 60.... does that count double? :\

    @Ejf7000
    I'm mentally doubling this distance for you and giving you a high-five, two thumbs up and a pat on the back for doing this despite Mother Nature's very bad sense of humor.

    It was -29F here this morning when I went for my walk, and this afternoon should be 21F... I can't wait for nice normal weather...

    I agree with all of this so much!

    3.6 mile walk in the subfreezing weather. Still beats the treadmill.

    Darn. My Forerunner just bit the dust. Called Garmin and they are sending a new one. Guess sometimes you get the car made on Friday afternoon. At least getting the new was was hassle free. I do like that.

    Oh noes! :disappointed: Glad they're taking care of it so promptly though! Gotta love Garmin's customer service! (*)

    Well....we got above theoretical freezing here today....actually 34F and sunny!! Of course you know I could not be contained inside. Feeling a little better than yesterday, I went out for a lunch STROLL vs a power walk. I kept my foot off of the gas and if I found myself breathing much more than normal then I went even slower. But I finally got my first 1.3 miles on the board. Also....to prevent me from overdoing it trying to make up ground from losing an entire week and send my bronchitis spiraling downward again, I've reluctantly lowered my goal to save me from myself. :sunglasses: I'm still going to have a little ground to make up but will have to be careful not to overdo it.

    Hope you all have a splendid weekend!! :drinker:

    @ Dave - good move on the goal. We goal oriented folks need saving sometimes - glad you had the wits to save yourself.

    Somehow dragged myself along for 19 miles today. Another warm one :p Ok I don't know if that emoticon is supposed to be sticking it's tongue out and jeering but I included it because it looks like me panting. Glad that's done!

    Lots of people still dealing with crummy wind & foul weather, but looks like nearly all of us should turn the corner to warmer weather next week! :drinker:

    -Met with "Renovations Supervisor" at our new retirement home to share our desires for moving walls and appliances. He is able to do all of them, but will have to get back to us with the additional costs. Well, yes, how much DO fantasies cost?

    Icy sidewalks kept me on the treadmill this morning. :'( It's all melting. (melting, melting melting.... :o ) so I'm hopeful that I'll be outside soon.

    Added 5 miles today. March total 19.5 miles :D

    It's amazing how much easier it is to move when I'm only working 45 hours a week. Instead of 60 or so.
