I put on a light jacket today and instead of it being tight over my belly- making me look 6 months pregnant- it didn't stick to my belly at all and hung down from my boobs like it should!
And... My nine year old asked me if I was gong to go work out "because you work out all the time now mom." Made me feel so great!19 -
I no longer snore20

Put my favourite pj's on, I needed some comfy clothes after a hard day at work. I looked like I was wearing a sack, then my trousers started to slide down. I guess I need to find myself a new favourite pj!14

NSV for me is my blood sugar is within normal range. BG has not been under control for over a year. Today is the first day since 2000 that I have been able to go a full day with out diabetic meds. So thankful God has brought me to this WOE.22

Great to hear these success stories!

I realized this week that I've stayed at the same weight for about the last year. It's not the original goal that I set, however, I feel good. I'm able to do all the things I want to do. I stopped counting calories 3 months ago and actually dropped a couple pounds after that.
My numbers are good, depression is better. I'm healthy.
It seems a relief to not track every gram I put in my mouth. LCHF has made that possible for me along with all the support from this group. I am so grateful.21 -
Might be kind of TMI but it's a little NSV for me...this is the first time I've had to deal with "Special Lady Time" and the scale has not jumped over 170 on my morning weigh-in14

I've lost so much weight (90lbs) that I was able to have my life insurance re-rated and am saving over $4000 per year on the premiums. If you've also lost a lot of weight now may be the time to apply for life insurance coverage. As the old saying goes, "make hay while the sun is shining"20

@daylitemag That is an awesome NSV. Woot!2

@daylitemag Wow. Awesome regarding the weight loss and the 4K savings. I never would have "thunk" that regarding the insurance. Kudos!1

Congratulations @daylitemag !!! Love the new profile picture too! Wonderful commitment to yourself!!1

Yesterday I went to the beach with my hubby and our friends. While they were eating Subway sandwiches with chips and trail mix I was enjoying a couple of turkey burgers cooked in olive oil and a bag of salted peanuts. For dinner we went to a buffet and I stuck with meats, low carb veggies and sugar free dessert. I'm sure I ate way too much but I spent several hours out in the ocean treading water and swimming against the current so I feel like I needed the fuel. Today I feel great and am having no major cravings.
I also managed to use enough sun block to not be a total lobster today, that's a big achievement for me!15 -
@StacyChrz that's wonderful. Both the focus on quality foods and the no lobstering. That's what we're supposed to do -- enjoy life.4

X-post from the Low-Carb Ladies over 50 board...
My FBG has been steadily dropping, under 120 all of last week. This morning it was 98! Take that A1C and stick it in your pipe and smoke it. I'm not really losing weight at this point, but hey, whateveh's my body is healing and it's got a lot of work to do. Starting with not being inundated with insane amounts of glucose and insulin.13 -
Wearing some very pretty panties that the husband bought me today. He loves to buy me pretty stuff but they had just become so uncomfortable. Fit nicely again15

I bought a couple of new things this weekend... YA'LL... I FIT IN TO A SZ 12 bottom (zip up and button sz 12)! I was in a 18/20 in January 2016.19

I had to renew my drivers license and I was looking forward to getting a new photo! That was back in July. I just bought new work uniforms. I went from 38 waist pants to 32, and my shirt went from XL(tight) to L!17
-
Dang it! I'm so bummed I didn't take a pic of my old license! I had mine done in June2

I've had 2 NSVS this week...one of the bowlers on my team asked Saturday night if I had lost weight. Given that I've only lost 12#, I was thrilled she asked. The other NSVS is clothing related...I was a slacker last week and did not do laundry. Sunday, I grabbed a pair of shorts I have not worn in at least 2 years--Size 10s. I had a bit of a muffin top, but I was able to close them no problem. Woo-hoo! Victory15
-
My latest NSV is that I went out in public today wearing yoga pants. It's been 15 years since I felt comfortable doing that.16

I had to sit and debate back and forth with myself for about a month before I decided to go ahead and share my progress picture. I'm really happy about how far I've come so far and now I'm trying to focus on building more muscle bulk. I have my Fitbit "motivator" on in the one picture.26
