    Hi!!!
The power went out about half an hour ago, and showing no signs of returning...I was almost finished eating, and had just reheated my coffee... :)

Country Club of the South is not that terribly far away from my house.... and not that far from Ed either. I can be in Alpharetta in about 20 minutes and not break the speed limit :) getting there.

Loved the story about the little duckies! And the MRE's with Ostrich entree. I'd love to get that for my 'camping' fellows, Jack and Nate. Though not sure they'd eat either of the entrees unless they were super hungry. lol. I can see them eating the soup, candy bars, biscuits, etc. and enjoying the drinks.

Power just came back on...but I won't let that get between me and a rare morning nap!!!

    Later...

Howdy y'all. It's terrific Tuesday! 49 out there now with an expected high of 65 and no chance of rain.

Got J's car re-inspected yesterday, as the oxygen sensor was replaced Friday, and we drove it around a lot on the weekend. Passed inspection this time so he's good to go for his tags. His extension expires at the end of this month so he plans to stop by the tag office on Friday to complete that. It's right around the corner so not at all "out of the way" for us.

My breakfast is almost ready and the cats will be fed soon thereafter. Lilo has had her Zeniquin for today and also her Adequan shot. I am waiting until two hours after the Zeniquin so that I can sprinkle her probiotic on top of her food. She should be good and hungry by then too. LOL.

They'll be fed at 8:00 or shortly thereafter, so it's not too very long.

I didn't make the potato "cheese" cake, but did make a potato and onion pie, with cheese on the bottom, for last night's dinner. The night before was a cheese quiche and I had another pie crust to use. Here's what the potato and onion pie looked like:

    Hi
I was out doing some walking this Morning. The temperature this morning was in the 69 on the porch and 69 on the cable channel and felt more humid as well as warmer than yesterday. I could see where it had rained and part way through my walking it rained for 15-20 minutes and then stopped. There is heavy rain in the forecast for today too.

    Hi Ed
I'm guessing that by tags You mean plates or registration? Around here when You register a used car for the first time You get a placard for the window that gives You so many days to have it inspected. To pass inspection You need to have a current registration and insurance card. New cars are god for several years with no inspection.

Just curious, regular Onions or Vidalia Onions? I have had a slice of Vidalia Onion Pie in the past that was tasty. My brother has made pies for the same reason, a spare crust to be used up before it gets wasted.

    Have a Nice Day

I did not avail myself of the supposed one day venison burger event at Arby's, though I did ponder it.

But that's OK because Emmy did it for us!

Hey! Good Day??? surely isn't morning anymore,
Managed to get to the gym this morning, and then a run thru the fresh foods and the spice and herb rack at the Mex. Mart next to the gym...
Found something I've been hoping to see for some time....an Orange that isn't a navel orange! I found Valencia oranges in the fresh food isle! All the supermarkets AND Whole Food only have carried navel oranges since time out of mind... I can't wait to eat this big juicy orange!

Nothing much else going on today...I made and just finished eating some soup for my lunch with some avocado toast. Dinner tonite will be beans, rice, and some vegetable from the freezer.

Its only 68 in my house right now!! and tonite low 40's, meaning this house is going to be COLD in the morning...so I intend to have everything ready to pop into the oven first thing when I wake! I'll do the prepping after I talk to Jack this afternoon.

    Later...

Howdy, y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! 42 out there now with a high of only 59 expected and no chance of rain. I think Fall has fell!

Need to find something to eat, feed the cats, and take a nap.

    Hi Valerie
I found that to be strange, I can get different types of oranges locally. I would have thought that a large metropolitan area such as Atlanta would have a good selection of Fruits and Vegetables. I also tend to buy Clementines or in season Mandarin oranges and other easy to peel Citrus.

The house is currently at 70 degrees. It sounds as if You will be running Your heat Wednesday morning :)

    Have a Good Day
