Howdy y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! 68 with an expected high of 89 and 20% chance of precipitation. DragonCon registration starts tonight and we will be downtown a lot this weekend. I might possibly miss a post or two.
Need to clean up yesterday's cat bowls and feed the cats.

I would go for a lower fat, less sweet dipping sauce. Probably ranch. But otherwise, aside from the breading on the chicken strips, this looks like a pretty decent and easy meal to make. And even with the breading, at least it's baked and relatively low fat!

Cabbage patch halibut. Fish roasted in a leaf. Interesting take on a cabbage roll perhaps? I suppose something similar might be done with lean beef, pork or chicken.

I just looked DragonCon up I see that last year 80,000 people were there. Yikes, How to see and do everything ?parityanimal wrote: »I would go for a lower fat, less sweet dipping sauce. After watching the Riblets Video I see that I was wrong. They do appear to be real ribs. Why not call them Beef Short Ribs ? My guess is that they are a different cut.

Hi!
It's trash night, so gotta 'gather' yet tonite. O's not going to gymnastics. Sore neck and back...I went to my stretching class, and walked several miles on the TM. Recovering. LOL!!
(or more accurate...sitting on my butt watching the news.) Really got to get up and move!
I hadn't heard much about the meat issue in MO. Surprised my brother hadn't said something. I think even a kid would know the difference between real beef, chicken, or pork and say tofu, or tempeh, etc. And I was not surprised to see the Beef Council was behind it. Same can be said about 'milks'. Oh, well. Good to know. Someday in my old age I may mess up and accidentally buy the real stuff. (don't wait for it though)
Cat is what I have. Just Tom E. cats was a typo and needed an apostrophe between the t and the s...so the food was belonging to the cat!
Thats all that I can think of at the moment.
Ed...you and J have a fun time at Dragon Con!!! And ask me about Trader Joe's when you think about it next week, OK?

Hi
I'm back home from walking no cents. The Temperature out the door was 76 degrees,Yesterday at 10PM it was still 86 degrees, it was Sort of comfortable while walking due to somewhat lower humidity and a gentle breeze.
The Temperatures did not drop as low overnight as was forecast, I suspect due to the low clouds. I could hear low flying aircraft and sometimes I could see the glow through the clouds of the lights on them.

Hopefully the sore neck and back pass quickly for O.
I'm with You on recovering, However I did my recovering today while walking. To explain as I walked I worked up a bit of a sweat so I took advantage of town benches along the roads and a chair in front of a eatery to sit and let the gentle breeze cool me down. Does that make me lazy or ???
I also wandered into the back yard to see if any of the latest crop of Raspberries survived critters eating them, Wow, I actually got as many this morning in one go as I had managed to get up to now from earlier crops.
You may or may not be surprised to hear that to my Brother the word Milk does not belong on non dairy things such as Almond Milk. As for Me, I'm indifferent to the issue. I also recall as a youngster in grade school that in Iowa at the time Margarine could not be colored so it came white and had a coloring packet You could work into it to color it
I have tried the non dairy and they just were not the same to my taste buds.
I wondered if it was a typo or if you had added another cat
I'll bite, Why Ask about Trader Joe's ? is it a new store in Your area ?
Anyhow, Have a Nice Day

Howdy all y'all from downtown Atlanta. It's fabulous Friday!
74 with an expected high of 86 and 10% chance of precipitation. We left the cats with plenty of food but do plan to check on them this evening.
Have to find something reasonable for "real" breakfast but may just eat one layer of my carrot cake we brought back from the diner last night, to get me charged up for the morning of walking. I'll find something more substantial and appropriate for my "real" breakfast in a bit.
Need to catch up on FaceBook and a couple of other things.

Hi !!!
Having my lunch...rice and vegetables(carrot shreds, onion, mushrooms, finely chopped kale) put salsa on it and nutritional yeast, and a tablespoon of ground flax seed! Kinda bland, kinda dry...I need to come up with a sauce that would work. Yesterday I had something similar and put Coconut Amino's on it...it was 'ok'...
Finishing up with the end/last of the watermelon.
Dinner tonite is a Bao Minh noodle bowl, that I got from Trader Joe's on Wednesday. It looks really good. Anxious to try it.
I must have missed the news the day of that WalMart shooting. And yet we sell guns.... World, no, USA gone mad.
I do live in Gwinnett county, but its one of the biggest counties in GA, and that Walmart is not near me.
Later, like after my nap, I'm going out to my yard and try to dig out some brick edging I put in the ground 20+ years ago. I've seen a black widow spider or two over the years, so I will be using a hoe to flip them over before I put my gloved hands down there!! Obviously I'm not related to Marlin Perkins! LOL!!
Thats about all I know right this minute....

As I see it Guns are not dangerous themselves, it is the loose nuts carrying them. In England for example Gun ownership is heavily regulated so what happens ? The Bad Guys use Knives
Vicious people will use whatever they need to do their viciousness. There have been cases recently in New York City where they use Machetes and knives to kill.
I wondered if that Walmart was near You and Ed.

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday! 76 with an expected high of 91 and 0% chance of precipitation.
Been up for a bit over an hour. Had some breakfast and am about to start on my second big cup of tea. The hotel has "free" tea in the lobby 24 hours a day and "free" coffee too, and there is some in the room as well, but the selection downstairs is better on the tea so I snagged several bags yesterday for this morning's in room tea. I could have just grabbed some of my usual tea from home while we were there last night checking on things, but decided why use mine when I can have a variety of teas while here and get at least some of our money's worth.
Cats and all seemed fine last night.
Don't know if I want to wander up the hill for the parade this morning or not. It would be a good opportunity to get some crowd pictures so I might. We're neither of us really "feeling" dragonconnish this year. I think age is creeping on J. That and the fact that the crowds have gotten ridiculously huge...neither of us likes crowds really.

Ok, so where was Valerie??? I dunno either!!
moved some of the bricks, napped, cut up a honeydew, ate 3 meals...oh, found a new app...to track food, not only the commonly tracked nutrients, (the macro's, ie..protein, fat, carb) but also the minerals, and vitamins, etc. I think it may be a real time saver...its on my phone. I don't think they do a desk top version. It also tracks exercise, weight, hydration, etc. Now, if it just cooked! Oh, it says you can type in the foods OR say them. Couldn't get the voice part to work. If i get that figured out this is going to be above and beyond awesome!
Jack coming to finish up the kitchen, and Ted to do the lawn!!! Wozza! Gonna be a great, and busy day tomorrow. Wonder which grandchild is coming with Jack? Hope its Livy, she went to see Cirque de Soleil today. I'll bet my little gymnasts eyes popped out!!!
Ok, hope you are have had a great day...Ed, did you go the the parade? Roger, what new something was on your list?
