I'm sure this could be done with chicken or tofu too. Pretty sure it's called icebox fried rice because the rice is usually leftover (or deliberately prepared for this) from the day before, and refrigerated to dry out somewhat, but not too much.

Fancy dress ladies, from a slight distance.

You can see several costumes in this one.

Not the best shot, but the dress was interesting, and the pattern on the front was three dimensional.

    Hi Valerie
Howdy y'all. It's terrific Tuesday! Cold pizza for breakfast. 73 with an expected high of 90 and 20% chance of precipitation.

A and C are still holed up in the guest room but J says they were all up until 3:00 playing the card game, something where you build some sort of grid on the table and also draw cards trying to achieve certain point values, which may be defined by the grid? I don't know. And they probably moved on to something else after I went to bed. These games use special cards, not a normal playing card deck, and are more of a combination card and board game really, even if they don't use an actual board.

Need to think about laundry, but probably not until tomorrow after A and C have gone back to Pittsburgh. Their flight leaves tonight at 10:10.

But I do need to clean up yesterday's cat bowls and feed the cats. They aren't crying for food yet, except for Dinah who is always wanting food, attention, or both.
    Hi Ed
Our high today is supposed to be in the upper 80s with a possibility of 90s which would be day three of a four day heatwave.

That does not sound like any card game I ever ran into. Most of the card games I played used a regular 52 card deck, Rook does uses it's own type of cards.

Uber for them or are You driving them to the Airport ? FWIW Mom used a Limo to the airport to catch a really early flight to the other coast to see her sister or my sister.
I'm sure this could be done with chicken or tofu too. Pretty sure it's called icebox fried rice because the rice is usually leftover (or deliberately prepared for this) from the day before, and refrigerated to dry out somewhat, but not too much.
The only way I can think of for the rice to dry out which to me means it was left uncovered in the refrigerator where it could pick up odors or off tastes from other items in the refrigerator.
Only for rare occasions, like maybe birthdays? Easy microwave cakes.
I have seen Microwave cakes being made on the TV, Nice and quick and likely uses a lot less energy than baking in the oven.
I do have a few DragonCon pictures, though I did not go up to the parade.

First my newest sword cane acquisition.
Neat Sword Cane, Are they Expensive ?

Some of those Costumes are neat, Others were just weird as I see it.

    Thanks for the links

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! Just got back from the vampires (and a late, plate breakfast at Krystal, after) and fed the cats. 79 with an expected high of 89 and 20% chance of precipitation.

Need to get laundry started and get the dishwasher started. There will be a lot of laundry since we had guests overnight last night.

Someone's opinion regarding six cheeses that they think you should never put into your body...haven't watched yet but I may be a hard sell on that one because I love cheese.

Emmy tries another kitchen gadget. But at first, from the name, I was beginning to wonder just WHAT she was up to. Presenting the Daisy Stripper!
