    Good Morning Ed.
Chili sounds good. But I think I'll wait for another couple weeks. These 90+ afternoons just don't 'scream' chili's ready!!! :)
I'm sure you chili will be tasty though!

Heading out for the gym shortly...then a Thursday run to WF for some fried tofu and mock chicken salad. I don't think there is much else I want/need today....ON YES THERE IS...I've used all my 'mayo'..(Veganaise) and so of course I will need one more overpriced, but delicious Heirloom tomato. I think I'll go into withdrawal when those tomatoes are gone, which will no doubt be soon. Lots of the east cost is actually having fall/cool temps. Just not GA!

And its trash nite, so there's that. Hmmmm. Looks like a pretty quiet day!! :) Always nice.
I watered last night. Plants, and my moss yard, heck even the weeds looked just parched. Pulled the weeds, but the rest of the stuff is looking much better.

Well, I got the chili (vegan, actually) going as planned.

I stole some of my ground beef for a patty melt for my lunch, on low carb, high fiber, whole wheat, toasted bread, browning the rest of the beef, and the rest of the onion, with some salt and seasoning, to add to MY chili, at supper, along with some cheese. The seasoned beef and onion are waiting in the fridge, in a small tightly sealed carryout bucket.

The remainder won't remain vegan at serving time either, as J most assuredly WILL add cheese!

Howdy all y'all. It's fantastic Fryday! I could fry an egg on the sidewalk this afternoon, if we had a sidewalk. That action has still been stalled since late spring, when I complained to the mayor about the hideous - and dangerous 6 foot wide, 3 foot deep, rock lined drainage ditch that they have run across my front yard, where the previous drainage had been a shallow, almost non-existent rut it the grass. There is no way they can justify a need to have this much drainage when the previous light drainage had never been a problem.

The engineers are supposedly working to try to eliminate the ditch (a ditch we had never agreed to in the first place, and were not informed of in advance) and install some kind of conduit, over which we can presumably have our 6 feet of lawn back.

I may need to get out today for a few things.

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfactory Saturday! The last pool party of the season is today so my giant pan of baked beans is in the oven. It's also my birthday! My driver's license says I was born in 1959 but I am sure it's a misprint.

I will be celebrating my 39th birthday today.

I hope your pool party/Birthday party is wonderful. You look years younger than Jack Benny at 39! Ted will be 50 the end of October. You two are getting old! LOLL!!
After a trip to the gym, this day will be mine! There is a list of chores that 'could' be done...we'll see....

    Have fun!!!

So far it's been a BUSY birthday! Got up at 6:00, rushed to Publix to get a 5-pack of foil "Giant Lasagna" pans, as I found I had used the last one two weeks ago for a pool party, came home, got the beans going in the oven, made and ate breakfast and had my morning tea, started the dishwasher, fed the cats, scooped the litter boxes, took my shower, unloaded the clean dishes, and have the last little bit of yesterday's laundry I will be folding and putting away in a moment.

Then, off to the party, where I will be helping to keep the food organized, as usual, but that's not too terribly hard. Well, I hear that the dryer stopped, so off to fold!

Goodness! You did have a busy birthday! Hope you can look back on this birthday fondly!
Reading all you did before the pool party, makes me feel like a slow moving sloth! It also means I'll have your kind of Saturday tomorrow on Sunday!
Checked in with the Subpeona phone and couldn't quite decide if I was needed on Monday or not...with some poking around, I found my answer....I do NOT go to L'ville on Monday. :) So, that actually leaves the rest of the week hanging in limbo... could be worse though!

    See you tomorrow....

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday! The party was great, but seemed long to me after the busy morning. I'd say I had a good birthday. A tiny slice of carrot cake last night before bed. That's a vegetable, right?

    Today is J's birthday.

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday! I have to get cat food today, so any other needed items may be on the agenda while I am out, and possibly lunch!

    Good Morning Ed.
My day is off to a nasty start. I had tossed a lightweight sweater into a small open cooler to take to the car. I walked out of my room, from getting dressed to go sit with Tom E. in the porch swing, in time to see half of my cat in the small cooler....first thought was "oh how cute, cats will sit in anything box like" My next thought pretty much ruined my morning....he was/did pee on my sweater and cooler. What the heck? Yes both of his litter boxes were clean, no he doesn't seem to have a kidney issue, and since he took off running, I have to believe his action was intentional. All I've been able to say since has been 'damn cat'!!!
Ok, got that off my chest.........

Heading to the gym very shortly. I've had my coffee, and put my banana into a vegan shake with vegan protein supplement, (pea protein) a hand full of kale, some cacao (with mushrooms :) ), and ground flax seed. So, I am officially 'drinking' my breakfast today. LOL!!

    Gonna be hot today, again.

Will check on my court duty tonite after 5. Half of me wants to need to report and get it over with,,,the other half wants it to go away so I don't need to fuss with getting to the courthouse by 8:30 a.m. Eight thirty!! What kind of time is THAT???

Goodness! I watched the Lazy Vegan (I love green...maybe not as a hair color! LOL) I see vegan alfredo sauce on some pasta tomorrow!
I also ran across your mention of J's birthday. That I should have remembered. I know I' m late, but please tell Jason I said Happy Birthday! (and yes, Carrot Cake IS vegetable-ish)
Ok, I'm hungry, so I best get into the kitchen and do some cooking. Or else I'll nibble all evening.
    Later...
Oh, guess who's all sweet and lovey this afternoon......Arggggg cat!

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday! Not a lot on the agenda today, but maybe some light grocery shopping.

One of our sugar gliders, Bonnie, died suddenly yesterday. She was active, as normal, the prior night, and ate all of her food, but we found her last night, sitting in one of the places in her cage that she often sat, but lifeless. We think perhaps she had a heart attack. As best we could tell, it was quick and she couldn't have suffered much.

She was the friendliest of the two, and enjoyed human interaction. Clyde, her mate, will be very lonely without her and I am not sure what we can do about that, as we don't think we really want to bring a new sugar glider in, as it might be terrified by the cats, even though the cats can't really get into the cage.

Bonnie, 5 years or so ago.

He may need a vet trip if he is suddenly pooping and peeing in odd places. It can be a way of letting you know he isn't feeling well. Perhaps a UTI or something...

    Good Morning Ed,
Feeling your new age yet? LOL! Sometimes it takes a few days before you find the 'new' aches and shakes! But I think you'll do well!! :)

Thought about Tom E. and the poop pee business...I have my doubts. His actions seem deliberate. Although you're right. Could be a UTI. Will ride it out for a few more days.

Going to make the green haire Vegan's 4 ingredient Alfredo Sauce. I found some edamae spaghetti a month or so ago, and I hope this might be a good combo.

Well, Off to the GYM for now...will be back later today after watching the video's.

If he's not feeling right, it would be deliberate, as he can't just say that he's not feeling well, so acting out is a way of signaling something isn't right.

    Ed,
I just read your post about the Sugar Baby dying. Maybe she just went to sleep, and didn't wake. Anyway, as I recall the Sugar Babies were Jason's, so I suspect he's upset. And glad I don't have to figure out if you keep a lone Sugar Baby, or maybe get another... life's seldom 'simple' anymore is it?
