Well, here's today's wine delivery. Now I have a good stock of some of my favorites, and a few that are relatively new to me. My wine storage is full except for ONE HOLE. If that really bothers me, I can fill it by buying a bottle at Lidl if I get a chance to go there. I would like to see if their wine is any good anyway.

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! Warm and sticky again, and a chance of p.m. rain. When the breeze moves, it is surprisingly pleasant, despite the high humidity.

I am going to try to get to Lidl in a while and see how that grocery looks. And I may buy that one bottle of wine that will fill the wine storage to capacity. Maybe two, and open one tonight.

Today's wine purchases that will put me over capacity on wine storage (but not by very much and not for long) purchased at Lidl, an Aldi-like grocery, but with a bit more name brand stuff.

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! It was a bit sticky out, as usual, this morning but despite that I saw several other walkers on my way around. Yesterday I saw a trio jogging in the heat of the afternoon, as they jogged by right across the street from our house. Even if I still had the knees for it, there is no way I would be out in that heat and sun, jogging.

I did finally get that laundry folded a couple of days ago and haven't put more in yet, but soon.

    Happy Lunch Time!!
Little busy around here this morning...but all for good!
I see half dozen or more vid's with 'the older often barefoot lady'. This last one has me confused...looks like prepackaged something...a lot of it too. Must watch to satisfy my curiosity!
Nap time now, and some laundry to do later. Not to mention I seriously need to be 'feeding' this watch some calorie burn and exercise minutes...not really in the mood to do either..(actually the exercise will cause the calorie burn, but you knew that!)
I see weather saying 90 later today? Other than the tomatoes, who wants that???? LOL! Certainly not you or me!!!
Furnace had a 'perfect' workout yesterday...tomorrow an eye appointment in your neck of the woods, but not until 3:30...had it been earlier I'd have suggested lunch.. This is a new Doc, so we'll see how it goes. My 'guy' sold his practice at the Forum, and has moved to northern Gainsville. I mapped it. Looking like a 45-50 minute drive..one way. That's a bit much, but maybe. I'll know after tomorrow.

Have a good afternoon, with a guilt free, laundry free, time to relax! LOL!!

Ok, so I couldn't wait! Ramen Noodles from scratch!
Way more heat than I think I'd like, but I'll bet it was delicious! I have a packages of Ramen Noodles. Maybe this will inspire me to cook them. I've cooked them in a miso broth, was ok, but not very likely to be made again.

    Now...about that nap..........

Howdy all y'all. It's fantastic Friday! It's the usual warm and sticky out there, and supposed to get pretty hot today. I may go and spend a teensy bit more time in Lidl, as the last time I didn't really take time to properly browse.

    Good Lunch, (again today)
Doing laundry today so I don't have to over the weekend! (Which makes no sense, but..)
Not much else going on. Looking forward to a nap in just a bit, and tonite is Pizza. They're on sale at Whole Foods, so eat the one I have tonite, and I will then have room in the freezer for 2 new ones. Probably will go Monday. Sale ends Wednesday :(

Hope you have/had a good browse thru Lidl! Something fun about perusing a new grocery store!

I don't think I know anything else today. LOL!

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday! The cats actually let me sleep in this morning, and that's fine because I am taking the day off. I am not going to human today, I am going to cat. That definitely includes eating and napping.

    Hello, Meow, Ed, or Kittykitty!
LOL! You had me laughing already today! :)
Cleaning done, laundry done, folded, put away WOOHOOOO!
I need to go outside just long enough to gather my newly ripe tomatoes. :) Prolific little tomato plant!
Have you had big rain storms the past few evenings! Probably over an inch total.

Nap time! I feel a Suduko coming on...and then there will be snoring no doubt!

So how did being an eating and napping kitty go for you today?? Saw the pix of your 'friend' coming to visit on your van!
I did as little as possible today...that worked out pretty well!
Watched the popped corn video....holy cow! What a bunch of popped corn! Hope those kids enjoyed their snack. Was interested in the Milk Bread. Never heard of it before. Interesting.
See you shortly, (assuming you see this Sunday morning)

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous sizzling Sunday! It's supposed to get pretty darn hot this afternoon, with a decent chance of rain, and continue to get hot every day for a while. Well, we did decide to live in Georgia and here we are. I could take the heat better when I was younger, but still didn't really like it.

I feel like the kids are happy to get whatever food granny send along, and what kid doesn't like popcorn? It's not the most nutritious food, but it's nice that they get a fun snack or dessert now and then too.

I might do some laundry today, and hope to get a nap in.

Not at all sure that the sponsor for this first vid is terribly appropriate for a food video but I did really want to see how well making egg replacer from pumpkin seeds worked for him.

    Hey Ed!
It is 'warm' outside. Was quite pleasant to just sit in the backyard this morning with my coffee and watch the birds, listen to all the chirping..etc. Even saw a nasty ole hawk try to knock one of the song birds out of the air. Small bird was fine, and eventually the hawk flew off, and a small little squirrel scurried down the tree nearest to us. I'll bet its little heart was beating double time. It was pretty near where that hawk was. Could be why the hawk stayed so long? Hoping the squirrel would run?? I dunno, but all in all it was pleasant. Ted took some bird food out, and then took out some shelled nuts and put them on the fence for the squirrels. I should go out and see if the squirrels came to get them.

Other than that, and some kitchen clean up from lunch, and a mighty fine nap..that's been my day.

I wasn't criticizing grandma for popping corn for the kids, but the huge amount she made all at once in her huge pan!!! WOW!!!! The addition of the turmeric surprised me, and as I thought about it, I'll bet it was tasty. My Dad loved his evening popped corn, and I made a big bowl of it for him nearly every night...in an iron skillet on the gas stove. I've become lazy...now I buy bags of it already popped and seasoned at the grocery!

Heading now to the kitchen to make a big ole tomato sandwich for dinner. Will probably want something else later, but for now it sounds good!

Hope you've had a pleasant day!!

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday! It was terribly sticky out, but not terribly hot as yet so I did my walk and felt drenched by the time I got home. I will be rehydrating for a while yet, no doubt. I have had one mug of tea, and a large glass of water, with three mugs of tea to go, two 20 ounce PowerAde Zero drinks, and additional water as the day progresses. Perhaps today I will do some laundry, if I can get it started early enough to not be running the dryer too much in the heat of the afternoon.

Howdy all y'all. It's going to be another hot one! I got some house cleaning done yesterday, and I actually got the laundry washed, dried AND folded and put away, all on the same day, yesterday.

But you don't need to wonder who I am and what I have done with Ed. I assure you it was an aberration and I am still me. LOL.

    Hi Ed,
An aberration huh? Hope it's one that can be controlled. We don't need to set our standards tooooo high, less we get Covid bored. LOL! If covid boredom isn't already a 'thing', we need to see that it becomes a reality!

Spent some early morning hours sitting in the back yard, watching the new batch of squirrel babies, and some random birds that happened by. It was lovely and relaxing. Then I made 'brunch' which turned into just plain old lunch...followed quickly by nap!
Need to get some exercise going fairly soon, or today will be a wash, like yesterday. Its so much easier when I can go to the gym...oh well.

Ted and I have set up a smallish drop leaf table in the middle of the living room!! Yes, smack dab in the middle, to do this Van Gogh puzzle. Nice thing about knowing nobody's coming to your house...:) Until GA and Gwinnett county get their act together it back to square one.
I can't believe they are starting schools in what? 3 weeks? There will be backlash over this for sure.

Ok, Tom's begging to go out....he stays for about 5 or less minutes and then its 'let me in, NOW'!! I try to tell him its too hot for furry cats but..no, we have to do this several times every afternoon. :)

Hope your day was peaceful and joyful, and that the kitties let you nap! Did you have any of the new wine from Lidl? Just curious. Hope it's good.

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! 60% chance of rain today, but not too bad out as yet. It will be ever so slightly cooler this afternoon, but climbing back up tomorrow and into the weekend.

I haven't opened any of the wines from Lidl as yet, but I made careful selections there and want to be sure I make good food pairings with them. If I make the chicken and dumplings (or lazy packaged noodles) I am pondering for tonight, I may open the Gewürztraminer.

Not a lot on the agenda today.

    Good Morning Ed,
IT is a bit 'thick' out there this morning. I didn't look to see what the humidity was, but judging from Dark Sky, the difference between actual temp, and 'feels like' temp is a pretty good indication of soupy air!
I was all set to enjoy my morning coffee, when Tom E appeared from ??? demanding in his most authoritative voice to go inside. I looked down to pet his little royal head, and noticed 3 mosquitoes on my leg.... Tom and I BOTH came inside!!!
All of this happened after I saw the white bunny. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking with it! It was outside the board fence, in the back yard, so I was only seeing it thru the inch that is between boards, but first I saw 'movement', then I thought squirrel, but it was white, and it wasn't running but hoping....RABBIT said brain..agreed said eyes. Ted thinks I was dreaming. It was somebody's Easter Bunny, returned to the wild, is my guess. Its soooo wrong to do that. But it happens.

Yesterday afternoon I picked about half a pint of little tomatoes. They are sweet and make a tasty addition to nearly any meal. I hope my eyes appreciate the bursts of lycopene!!

Absolutely nothing on my current 'to do' list for the day. I'm sure I'll come up with something though! :):)

Hope you have a good day, and the cats allow you to enjoy a nice nap!
Oh....and how do you pronounce Gewürztraminer?????, and if you drink it with your dinner will you still be able to pronounce it when it's gone? LOL! I looked for a translation, but there wasn't one...however there was a pronouncing feature...yeah, after you've finished that bottle of Gewürztraminer. be sure you can still read the label!! LOL!

Well I went the lazy route, since I remembered I had some kluski or spaetzle noodles in the cabinet. The chicken and noodles, with carrots, was delicious and there is plenty for another meal or three. The wine went well with the food.
