    Hi Ed!
Still trying to get my motor running this morning. Either I need more coffee, or a 10 minute turn on the bike. Cat's napping, Dog sound asleep, so tell me, just why am I still awake?

I originally thought of making a trip to Kroger. But, I think this may not be the morning. Will try again tomorrow. About half dozen things that Kroger has but not Publix.

Had quite a storm here yesterday around 5-ish? Thunder which got the dog and cats attention!
And it poured for about 10 minutes. Those kinds of rain really don't help much.

I think I'll grab my 'get up and go', and make a beeline to do something. (not just sure what)

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday! It's another heavy, sticky day out there. I do need to get out to Publix to pick up a couple of prescriptions. While there I might as well pick up a few things we are low on, like butter, eggs, milk...

    Hey Ed!
Just finishing up my breakfast...Sushi from Kroger! Made a nice and satisfying breakfast I must say. I was out the door before 7:30 this morning!!!! Spent 2.5 hours perusing ALL the isles! I hadn't been to Kroger in quite awhile...wore my mask, and tried to remember to social distance. I need to do a better job with that. I seemed to get all kinds of stuff...$80+ bucks worth. Lots of stuff for the freezer...and they had my disposable 'Kleenex Hand Towels'...that alone made it worth getting up and outta the house. I ran out first week of March!!! They are obviously NOT a priority product!

Are you following the Kemp/Bottoms spat over to, or not to, mandate masks. This is so dumb. The masks work, Kemp's hesitation to mandate their use is ridiculous...He's Trump's 'mini me'. ARG!!! We're dying and they're farting around over masks! Grown ups...jeeesh!

Stay indoors and be cool. Its gonna scorch our yards today!

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday! Another hot and sticky morning here. The cats did let me sleep in just a little, which was nice of them.

I might do some laundry today. Might not.

    Good Morning Ed.
Starting this Before Noon. Will finish after I eat my (planned) leftover pizza from last night, and one very nicely ripened GA peach.
I washed, dried, and put away my dark load yesterday. May do the whites today??? We'll See! (how I used to hate those words). Stay tuned

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday! The year is flying by, and that may be OK. Some things about this year sorta need to fly by. It is terribly sticky out. Feels like a good day to do nothing at all.

    Good Morning Ed,
Enjoying my coffee and then what?? Breakfast maybe? I do have a couple of chores that I've managed to put off all last week. Today's the day so I don't have to think about them for yet another week!
But wait!! first I want to look about what the grandma is doing with her pizza!
See how that goes? next thing I"ll know its dinner or later. and then the week is gone and those little pesky jobs are still lurking!

Have a great day doing nothing at all! Sounds wonderful.

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous muggy Monday! Another hot, sticky summer day here. It's supposed to get to 93 today.

I do need a few things from the grocery, but I am trying to hold off until Wednesday. Nothing is desperate, as we can live without certain cereals for a few days, and nothing is at critical levels as yet. We'll see how that looks tomorrow. LOL.

    Hi Ed!
My earlier, best intentions were hijacked by a bug. A really, really big bug. Ted found a dead Female Hercules Beetle when he came back from walking Maya....Like over 2 inches big.
I looked it up, and my buddy Loopy Squirrel confirmed what it was. I've seen rhinoceros beetles a few times, and this female Hercules Beetle is that big, just lacks the rhino mantle...And you should see the grub it comes from!!! Want to see one,,,you'll have to look it up, I'm not going to ruin you nap with nightmares!! LOL! They take up to 19 months to become a beetle.

Muggy south...this is the heat we dreamed of all winter when I was cold! LOL!

I think my bush tomato is over blooming, and the green tomatoes are about done growing? maybe. That one patio tomato is keeping me in snack tomatoes! The others, though not beefsteak size, will become sandwiches!

I'm going to sneak in a nap, even though I didn't get up before 8:30 this morning! Shhh, don't tell!! LOL!

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! It's warm out there, and rather sticky. I went to Kroger early to get in during senior shopping hours and that is the extent of my exercise today. My wallet got a good workout anyway...

Late breakfast on returning, and I am having the rest of my pot of tea now. Might do a little more house cleaning today. I swear Orion sheds enough fur to knit a couple more cats. Well, that's a long haired cat for you. LOL.

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! A bit cooler this morning, but still sticky, and will get pretty hot this afternoon.

Might sweep up some more long haired cat fur today.

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday (already?)!

Not quite as sticky this morning, but another warm summer day in the works here, with a chance of evening showers.

I have an endocrinologist appointment this morning.

    Good Morning Ed,
Yep, I'm up early, well, earlier than usual :)
I stuck my head out the door this morning when Tom E. was yowling about wanting out. It felt good, much better than the past week or so anyhow. Sorry you have an Endo appt. today would have been a great walking morning.

Dr Pat seems to have gotten my knee-hip issues all worked out. No more pain! She also said no more recumbent biking..:), but suggested I borrow Ted's upright and see how that goes. He's got a really nice bike :)

Nothing on my calendar for the day, or the weekend for that matter. Guess I have to stay home like a good little elder. arg!!!

I did talk with the lady from Aon, (insurance rep that ARC sets us old retired folks up with) I may very well be changing to a different supplement insurance carrier. Nothing wrong with the old one, except its too darn expensive.. I have United Health Care, but Anthem has the exact same coverage and its almost 70 bucks a month cheaper!!! My only concern is Anthem is a Blue Cross/Shield company. Was not my 'fav' insurer back in the day. So, basically it comes down to doing my 'home work' by searching out what others have to say. ugh.

Good luck with the Endo doc today. You should be fine. :)

Howdy all y'all. It's sensational Saturday! A little cooler today with a good chance of afternoon or evening rain. It's already a bit sticky out there.

Might get a little laundry done, and then there is an online service for a friend back in Memphis, who died suddenly on Monday. In better times I would have travelled to attend, but they ask that physical attendance be left to close family and caregivers, which will allow room for proper social distancing.

He had a number of health issues, but he will no longer have to suffer with any of those. It's nice that the church will set up an online meeting space so we can all attend without any danger.

    Good Morning Ed,
Morning hasn't really gotten off to a rollicking start here. Meaning so far, Ted has not begun the floor mopping so I have not begun the vacuuming (is that spelled right? Looks strange, but Auto correct is not fussing?)
Will attempt to do some laundry today, just so its done, and not hanging over my head.
Not much else...ohhhhh, Ted got a job yesterday. Don't laugh..its not a desk in the corner office...he'd going to be working in a bakery. LOL cuz that was his first job after he graduated from Savannah Art and Design in Savannah. (that was before they came to ATL). It will pay enough to cover his needs I hope! I didn't ask. But, since he's been without a job for well over a year this is as good a starting point as any.

I will like having a bit of 'alone' time, quiet time, shrug, whatever. And I will miss having him here all the time, and the animals will miss him being around too. When he gets his hours, etc I'm guessing I will get to take Maya out at least for a short walk. Good for her, and good for me too. It will force me to walk! And walking even slowly is good for us, um, elders! Yeah, I like 'elders'. I'm over being labeled a 'senior'...LOL!!!

It really is remarkable that the funeral for your friend will be available online. Sorry to lose a friend, but it sounded from your talking about him on Monday that ending his suffering will be a good thing. (that's how I felt about my Mom when she passed) She'd been sick for so long it was a blessing. Dad too for that matter. He had Dementia, and the end was a good thing. Miss them both a lot and often, but man, I wouldn't want them to be in the health mess they were in.

    Ok,
I have got to get going...or this cleaning business will go on all day!!

    Take care,

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday! And, again, it's a little bit cooler today. Once again, though, the dewpoint, current temperature (which is at the dewpoint), and 100% humidity conspired to make it a very damp, sticky feeling morning. I can take that better at the current temperature of 69 degrees than at higher temperatures, to be sure!

The service yesterday, for my friend, was short and sweet. We got Chinese delivery for supper, as I did not feel like cooking, so I guess I am having Szechuan beef for either lunch or dinner today as well.

I have the dishwasher started, and may do some laundry later.

    Good Morning Ed!
Tom E. and I went into the backyard for a very short time. He did some sniffing around and then headed back in. Funny critter!
Ted and I will be leaving shortly for Whole Foods...I mostly to get out of the house for a short while. I guess I should get dressed in street clothes? hmmm, thought so!
Hope I can snag another head of Frizee (spelling???) I really like the stuff, and some avocado and a Balsamic glaze oh, yum.

We had rain yesterday...with a sound show that pretty much ended any chance of completing my afternoon nap!! And the rain gauge did not record the rain again...after the first time, Ted took it apart only to find 2 live wasps, and the beginnings of a nest...I wonder if they've returned again?? If so, I will lightly spray some wasp and hornet spray inside of it, and they won't return again..I think????

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday! Still having that awful 100% humidity in the mornings, though the morning temperatures have been nice enough. I will probably actually run some laundry this morning. A nap this afternoon would be lovely too.
