    Hi Ed!
I was busy Saturday and Sunday...cleaning done, laundry, washed/dried/folded/put away!!!
Some grocery shopping at Whole Foods, and more!
So today already I had to fuel the car, pick up Scripts at Costco Should have been an easy peasy quick run...right? HA! Walked the dogger at 10 a.m. then took off...couldn't pump the gas, my annual fees were overdue. (I though I had that set up to happen automatically? guess not) Get in car, drive to warehouse, pick up scripts, decided I needed a carton of Almond Milk, and one of Veg. Broth...picked up kitty litter, and Vietnamese Pho was on sale at an island cap, so I got that too...then I had to back track and get the gasoline...I was nearly 2 hours of 'easy peasy'!!
    Oh, well, its done.

Now, I'm tired, and hungry so its lunch time...thinking a protein shake with pineapple and banana, and s small tomato sandwich!.. :). Then its nap time!

Is your laundry done yet??? :)

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday! Warm and sticky, as per usual, but I don't have to get back out there immediately.

There IS a grocery run in my near future though...possibly tomorrow. I actually got my laundry all done yesterday, but only because I happened to be getting a glass of water in the kitchen, adjacent to the laundry room, when I heard the dryer stop, and I wasn't in the middle of anything so decided I'd best get on in there, fold, and put away before it slipped my mind.

That laundry would still be in the dryer otherwise, I can assure you.

    Hi Ed!
Lucky you, getting a glass of water and hearing your clothes dryer stop!! I turned the buzzer off that tells me my clothes are dry...it just annoyed the heck outta Ted. I usually never even heard it.
News is on. It was a bad morning for children today in ATL. One little boy shot in the head..and a mother intentionally crashed her car into the babies fathers car...causing it to crash into a phone pole, killing a 3 month old baby girl. Father is in hospital, injured but will be ok. Just beyond sad. Oh and the mother has been arrested and charged for the death of her daughter. No words...just how could she.....

Ted has found a job, nothing in the art world, but an income. So, today I took Maya for a walk at 10a. and when we got back I gave her two of her little treats...(Ted does 3 pieces) She kept looking at me and hopping around...she knew she'd been short changed. I think Ted normally feeds her some kibble..I know nothing about how much, etc. So, til Ted returns in about an hour or so, she's hungry...hungry enough to eat Tom's canned food right in front of me!! Ted needs to give me some 'instructions'.... :)

Later today I want to catch up with 'grandma' and her cooking. Not sure what everything was that I saw finished...I need to watch the tutorial!!

I found Vietnamese Pho kits at Costco yesterday...Its the broth and seasonings, and noodles...I get to add the other stuff. I have some bok choy in my veg drawer, so that's a start!!

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! I have been to Kroger but still need to get out to the vet to pick up Lilo's next bag of Ringer fluid, and may stop at Lidl while out again. I was at Kroger very early to avoid crowds, but the vet and Lidl aren't open that early.

Good chance of rain today, and a little bit cooler, so sounds like it may be a good day for a nap!

    Good Morning Ed.
I fear this will be really short...dogger is coming out from her room wanting to go for her 10a. walk...but its only 9:18 What to do?

I think I'll make it an earlier 10, at like 9:45?

Ted days I don't need to walk her unless I just want to be outside...also last night, after she ate Tom E.'s wet cat food, (right in front of my eye...no guessing here), he said I didn't need to feed her either. But that after a walk, treats are OK. AHA!!!

Hope you are well this morning...and maybe could get in at least a short walk.. I'm loving that y ou are walking..and have to wonder if your smart watch and its apps are reminding you to get up and go? I know I do better with this watch, (and the list of various Fit-Bits before it) do sorta boost my exercise levels!

Ok, I have a couple of chores before Maya and I go for her short walk...she's limping this morning....Poor ole girl..she seems to have one joint that bothers her, not, thank goodness all four. (makes me really glad I don't have 4 legs!!) LOL!!

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! It's already pretty warm out there, for this early in the morning, and a good chance of rain in the pm, but still a bit cooler for the daily high. I might get out for a bit of groceries this morning at Lidl.

Lidl is not far, though a tad further than Aldi, and I made it to Lidl and back, in 20 minutes, getting there just after they opened at 8:00.

My main goal was their veggie burgers (comparable to Garden Burger original) as I forgot them yesterday. It would have been less than 20 minutes if I hadn't forgotten where the veggie burgers were in the freezer section. I looked all up and down one aisle, twice, looking on both sides, and forget that they had another aisle with one side of frozen bins.

Of course the veggie burgers were in the other aisle. I feel proud to have escaped having spent only $25 plus a bit of change. I got the veggie burgers, of course, and got pizza for tomorrow's "pizza and a show night out at home" and found a few other items that looked interesting, and not terribly expensive, in frozen foods. and think I have dinner tonight covered from today's shopping too.

I saw one man with a cart pretty full. He must have the store memorized and know exactly what he wanted, to fill the cart that quickly. Fortunately, neither he, nor any of the other few shopper, were in line so there was no wait for my checkout.

Stopping by for a quick hello...
Have my absentee run off ballot filled out, signed, sealed, etc...so my morning goes as this:
Shorty Howell Park, drop off ballot in the dedicated box..
Kroger to pick up the Sparkling Water that I like
Publix for just a couple things... and
    HOME!!
But before I go, I need to walk the dogger!!! She's been out to drink twice..... (she laps so loudly I can hear her, though not see her... :)

Back later with the damages I've done to my checkbook!! :)

Ok, so that wasn't so bad...dropped off my absentee ballot for run off elections,
In and out of Kroger with 3 bottles of my Sparkling Water, and one small bottle of hand soap. Ok so far!
Then Publix...ok, so mostly everything in my basket was also on my list...
This afternoon I picked even MORE tomatoes!

You know Maya the dog and I are a perfect pair. We both have arthritis! Some days its a short walk for her before she begins limping, some days its me saying 'we gotta go home ole girl'..Today it was her day to call it!! Bet we confuse the neighbors...

Talked with my oldest son...just this and that...nothing like last week. (Olivia is learning to drive, and hit the gas instead of the brake going into the garage...and ruined the work bench, and several of his pricy electrical tools. They've taken up walking later in the evening. That kinda stuff!!! LOL!

Ok, have a great evening..enjoy your movie and pizza!

Howdy all y'all. It's fantastic Friday! And it's another fairly hot one, but not "fry an egg on the sidewalk" hot. As usual, a good chance of afternoon showers. If they aren't noisy showers, that makes a lovely afternoon for a nap.

Yesterday we had lasagna, from Lidl, for supper. I was surprised to find that they make a vegetable lasagna similar to the Stouffers Alfredo veggie lasagna, so I was compelled to buy it. That was one of my impulse purchases yesterday, while searching for the veggie burgers.

At least I won't need to search for the burgers again soon, as I got a family size box of 12 and we are a family of only 2 so it will last a while. J sometimes likes them crumbled and made into a hash with small diced potatoes, onions, and bell peppers; then stir in scrambled eggs and some shredded cheese to top it all off.

For tonight's Friday night stay-at-home dinner-and-a-show "night out" it will be Lidl frozen pizza. It looks a lot like Tombstone, but an ounce heavier and a bit less expensive. We tried it once before but I think I need to bring the oven rack down one notch and see if that gets the crust a bit crispier. Or maybe just cook it a bit longer. It turned out good the last time, but I think I can get it better.

    Hi Ed!
Sorry...and surprised. I really thought I'd been here already today. So much for 'thinking'!

It must be Pizza day! I had one of the frozen ones for dinner...well, I had HALF of the pizza. So at least at my house, Saturday will also be pizza day!

Didn't do much today...had an early nap, got Tom E's claws clipped, finally. He puts up a mighty fight and so far I'm still stronger than he is. :) Then later in the day I picked him up and after a couple of 'forehead bumps' he became very compliant and let me snip, snip, snip. I got all front feet except one dew claw...I"ll get that another day.

He took advantage of Maya being out of her room, while I was using the 'hateful' bike, and stretched himself out on HER bed. Maya just looked at him when she did come back, and stretched out on the floor.... they both slept like logs for over 3 hours! Pets!!!!

Why do we no longer seem to have a 'middle' any more. Gov't cuts unemployment from $600 to $200. Thats a hellofa drop. Now, I see Athens, (Clarke county) mayor decides that restaurants and bars have to stop serving alcohol at 10p. That would't bother me, but as one young man said, that is the time most bars are just getting going.... Do you suppose they could compromise and close at midnight??? Apparently not, at least not for now. Now, neither of these items affect me personally, but step back and look at what they're fighting over....

Ok, time to sign off before I put you into a boredom coma!

    Happy Saturday eve!!

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday! A little cooler this morning but it is supposed to be creeping up to a hotter afternoon than we have been having. It's very sticky out now, but may dry up some later, if the humidity decreases.

Our virtual night out (at home) went a bit late last night, but the cats let me sleep in for an extra half hour or so. Wasn't that generous of them?

    Good Morning Ed,
Interesting morning...Tom wanted out, Tom wanted in , Tom wanted out, and this time I opened the screen door for him...he thinks I'm his valet. Anyhow, a minute or two later, I see a streak of black go by...apparently, the big black, longer haired cat has been camping out under the raised platform Ted made for my composter! And with staying home 98% of the time, that is about as exciting as it gets.

Hope you all enjoyed your pizza's last night. Mine was tasty, ate half of it, and guess what's for lunch!!!

Time to walk the dogger! She's fun to walk. She doesn't want to go far, as she knows when we get home, there will be a treat. Two nuggets she tries to catch, and the last one she has to offer paw to get handed to her! LOL!!

    So, we're off....

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday! It should be a bit cooler today and I am fine with that! It's also a little less humid, though possible afternoon storms may change the humidity if they happen.

Dinner last night was a veggie burger hash that my inner Eduardo came up with, using some frozen potatoes O'Brien, crumbled veggie burgers, original Garden Burger style, a can of chili beans, and a light sprinkling of shredded cheese to finish, all seasoned with a little salt, pepper, and hot Hungarian paprika. I served with salsa on the side, but J commented after dinner that ketchup might have been better with it. I swear, J could put ketchup on pancakes. Well, maybe not, as I have never actually seen that, only butter and syrup, maybe whipped cream and fruit. LOL.

Not a lot on the agenda today. My early voting for the August 11 run-offs has been taken care of.

    Hi Ed,
If I waited a little longer, I could have said 'good morning'. Ted's hours changed so schedules were a bit 'weird' today. (tomorrow and Wednesday also, no reason given, so he worked from 10a.m til 6 instead of 5a.m. to 2p ?????)
Other than that, I did make a morning run to Planet Fitness...not many there, and all wearing masks..I felt much better with that!!
Had quite a thunder storm, and heavy rain early afternoon...me here with a freaked out cat...and very lucky for me, Maya slept thru it all???!!!!
Thats about it from the funny farm today!!
Look at all those heads of cauliflower!! Wow! I've grown it before..not difficult to grow, you do have to tie up the leaves over the heads for about a week before you pick, to bleach them white. Being lazy, and not wanting to spend all morning do that when I grew it in TN, I took a pocket full of spring clothes pins out in my pocket, and clipped the leaves together. Worked like a charm, and only took a couple minutes! Now, I'll go watch the video to see what grandma is going to do with/to those heads of cauliflower,

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday! Quite a bit cooler this morning, after yesterday's loud storms, but still getting up to 88 this afternoon. 100% humidity right now.

We lost power for about half an hour last night, but it was well after the storms, and (thankfully) after we had eaten supper. When I checked the power company's web site, the projected restoration was about three hours! So we were pleasantly surprised when the power came back on so soon.

I need to call the vet for a refill on Lilo's Adequan.

    Good Morning Ed!
I got really tickled watching the cauliflower video. I'll bet the aroma of the oil, spices, onion, ginger, and garlic pastes was over the moon delicious!! But I'll bet the amount of red pepper was your kinda hot, not mine, and the smaller of the kids didn't look too impressed, as many of them ate the rice around the cauliflower part!! Poor littles!
I think, even though I'm pleasantly sore, I will return to the gym for at least a little while.
I didn't make an early morning grocery run, as I really didn't have anything 'critical' on my list. Will re-evaluate again tomorrow, and possibly not til Thursday! And at some point I should make a Whole Foods run, as I have eaten the last vegan pizza! I'll be sad come Friday if I don't have my pizza!
Nice outside now, and clear sky and sunny. It is nice, though humid. It's the south! LOL!

Hope your day goes well, and is uneventful! And that you don't lose your electricity again. Didn't have that issue yesterday, thank heavens. I pretty much had my hands full with two frightened animals.

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! A bit cooler today, with a chance of afternoon storms. That seems to be pretty normal for this time of year, this year. I don't think we are actually caught up on rainfall yet, but at least it hasn't been as dry as I remember a lot of last year being. Knock on wood...

I made an early morning run to Kroger and my bank balance is now down by $150. but I got a lot of things I needed and stocked up on a few things that were on sale, or finally IN STOCK. Thank goodness the major paper product hoarding and such seems to be over, for now anyway. I didn't need any paper products, but did need eggs, some canned beans, legume based pasta, high fiber, low carb bread, and disposable razors for sensitive skin, along with various other grocery items.

After I finished putting all that away, and washing my hands again, I started on my breakfast, and heard the lawn crew arrive and start working. They were about finished by the time I had cooked and eaten my breakfast, and gone by the time I got to sit down at my computer. I think I heard the garbage truck just a moment ago, so can probably bring that bin up in a few minutes. The recycle pickup is usually in the afternoon, around 2:00 or 3:00.

Our "taco Tuesday" supper last night, as usual, wasn't tacos at all, but one of Eduardo's versions of huevos rancheros. It was a pretty easy supper.

One jazzed up small package of vegetarian yellow rice (most brands aren't) that Eduardo made extra spicy, and one jazzed up can of vegetarian refried beans made two plates with the beans and rice side by side, each with a light sprinkle of shredded cheese. Then two fried eggs topped each plate, J's over broken, hard, and mine sunny side up. A jar of hot salsa on the side completed the meal nicely.

Other than the grocery run, and a hoped for nap this afternoon, not a lot of necessary stuff on the agenda. I didn't seem to have a nap in me yesterday, though I did try.

    Good Morning Ed,
Guessing you are out walking. I'm going to say hi, then watch grandma and all those vegetables to see what she plans to do with them. Then its gym time, followed by a few household chores.. Really exciting day, right....
Tomorrow will definitely be a grocery day and probably Friday a trip to Whole Foods, can't have pizza Friday if I don't have any pizza!! I can fit two of them in the freezer space that I have...so If I buy 3, eat one when I get home, and sock the other two into the freezer I'm thinking that will work for me!

Don't know much else. Hope your walk was a good one, and you saw something, anything funny or amazing, etc. :)
