Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday!

It's pretty warm this morning, and will get warmer yet as the day progresses. I got the laundry put away yesterday. Today I need to pick up Lilo's next bag of fluid, and get to Kroger while out. I got paid today so time to start heading toward broke again. LOL.

    Good Morning Ed!
Thought I'd 'shock' you by getting here early! (I know, shocks me too!) LOL!
Not too much on my list today. gym, a new condiment recipe I want to try, maybe make another batch of the Mock Tuna Spread. Its tasty, quick, easy, and makes a great sandwich. Once I realized I could 'smash' chickpeas in my blender instead of by hand, it was a no brainer!
I've already 'hit the high spots' with the vacuum. Got up some outside stuff tracked in on Ted's shoes, and another canister of Maya hair. I think between us we've run a Dyson every day since Saturday maybe??
Enjoying my coffee now, and a banana.

    Later...

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! I have put away the clean dishes and eaten my breakfast. Two slices of French toast made into a sandwich with melted American cheese between the slices. Of course I used my low carb, high fiber, whole wheat bread for that, and had some sausage links on the side to round out the meal. I am still working on my first big mug of tea.

I spent $150 at Kroger yesterday and the bag happy sacker spread it out into 19 bags. He could have easily used half as many, or less. I think it's time to send that one back to training.

Since I got all the critical items, and most of the non-critical ones, I don't need to get back out to the store right away, but I do need to get to PetSmart relatively soon for kitty litter. On that trip I will probably step around the corner to Publix or Target and get bran flakes, as our Kroger stopped carrying the store brand and we don't care for All-Bran, as it is too sweet.

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! It will be a little warmer today, and it's quite sticky out there at the moment. I am running a little bit late since Eduardo insisted on chicken fried steak for breakfast.

I had considered lightly (very lightly) dredging the cube steak in seasoned flour and just pan frying it in ghee, with an egg an the side. But Eduardo had the idea that the egg should be used as an egg wash and a little more flour was needed so that I could make properly chicken fried steak instead, and no egg on the side.

It was delicious, with the mandatory peppered country (milk) gravy. If I am making something chicken fried, you better believe I am making that gravy too! So that was the totality of breakfast. Chicken fried steak with plenty of gravy.

As I was cleaning up, of course, I remembered why I don't make chicken fried ANYTHING very often. It's messy.

Not a lot on the agenda today.

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday!

Back in olden days, when dinosaurs roamed the earth and I had to walk to school barefoot, through the snow, uphill (both there and back) we would have been starting school next Tuesday, the day after Labor Day.

And in normal times I would be downtown in the heart of Atlanta, celebrating Dragon Con, but this year that will all be virtual, online. At least there won't be long lines to wait in!

    Good Morning Ed!
TGIF for what ever that means to retired folks! I will be quick, as I want to get to the gym a bit earlier than I did Wednesday.
I'm thinking of maybe a trip to Home Depot garden section. I need a couple things, and I 'want' a few more. :)

no big plans for the long weekend, and I count that as a good thing! I didn't know DragonCon was going to be celebrated online. I did know it wasn't happening in person.

So, are you ready to trust Trump, and the other political group to get a Covid vac? I think part of this is driven by POTUS. and his desire not to be a one term POTUS. (although I do wish that for him!) And I'm sure the 'front lines' will be getting early vaccines, but I'd rather wait and see what happens with the peeps who break their necks to be first in line. But first I really need to get my regular ole flu shot NEXT WEEK, if available.

Meanwhile, have a great day..no stresses, some exercise of some sort, and more of your wonderful cooking!

LOL! If I don't type 'Later' and then Post Reply...the post sits at least 2.5 hours, just hanging out and waiting!

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday! It's quite pleasant out there this morning, and for a change, the humidity is not 100%. It is still supposed to get pretty sultry this afternoon, but it is nice to have a cool morning.

Not a lot on the agenda today. Leftover pizza for breakfast.

    Good Morning Ed,
Other than the weekly floor cleanings, my day is also pretty open. Sorta roll with the flow kinda day!
Ted, who's job requires standing all day, first ordered new shoes...then he ordered a dry foot massager thingy. Its kinda neat. It arrived yesterday, and of course we both had to try it before bedtime. Comes with a choice of 15 or 30 minute massage. I did 15, and then later did another 15...wrong! the second time, after about 5 minutes my feet were really tired of being 'beat up', and I thought it was somewhat painful...so I turned it off! I wanted to be able to walk again, ya know?

Later...(granny calls with a mountain of cauliflower! Gotta see what she's doing with that!)

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday! It's a bit cooler this morning, and is only supposed to get to 85 this afternoon. All the same, I feel sure that Summer isn't finished with us.

Not much on the agenda today.

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday! It's cooler again today, and another glorious day is expected! The last few labor days have been unbearably hot, at least in my memory, so it's nice to have one that is not. I may get out to a grocery store in a bit. And may do laundry today.

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! It's another beautiful morning here in Peachtree Corners, and it is supposed to remain nice all day. It is a bit stickier out there right now, but it's cool enough that I didn't have any problem with it.

The lawn guys have already been here and gone. Garbage may be picked up soon, or it may sit out there until tomorrow. One never knows with these Monday holidays like we had this week. Ditto for the recycling pickup that would normally happen this afternoon. Sometimes after a holiday the garbage will go on the scheduled day, with the recycling not being picked up until the following day. In any case, anything not picked up today will just sit out there waiting.

I popped out to Kroger early this morning and got eggs and cheese. We used more eggs than I had expected yesterday, and I only realized how low the deluxe sliced American was when I made my lunch. J actually cooked, making folded tamago (four eggs worth) and not bothering to try to make any rice to go with it. Then I cooked two more eggs for my egg, cheese, and Spam sandwich. That clobbered the half carton that was on top, and started the remaining carton, and then I used two more eggs, starting on the last carton, at supper, so I bought a carton this morning to fill the gap. J wanted eggs on top of the veggie burger supper. We eat a lot of eggs.

And now I get to stay home and alert, as my next crate of wine (Labor Day Weekend sale - 18 bottles @$4.99 each, plus tax, free shipping) is scheduled to be delivered today, and requires an adult signature.

Not posting any videos today, as it looks like you may have a few days worth to catch up on. Hope everything is OK at your end.

    Good morning Ed!
Indeed I do have video's to catch up on..Not sure how my video watching got so far behind. I seem to be 'wasting my evenings' watching old game show TV. Ted's fault. He got me interested and now seldom watches with me....hm..I may rethink the hours between 7:30 and 9pm. I think I'd be way ahead watching Grandma and Emmy! It will take me all week just to catch up!
I also today need to try to contact Eric..the gym guy who is a beautician. I hope he's well, and his family. He has a wonderful wife, and several (I think maybe 4) children. Anyhow, if I fail to reach him by end of week, I will hit one of these Quick Cut type places. Hair is very near shoulder length....not happy.

Got a birthday gift finally sent off to Texas/Marietta. Something I think she'll like. Tea pot of glass with a blue colored base and handles...its the clear glass part that is going to catch her interest, cuz I also sent a collection of the herbal balls that open up in the hot water to become beautiful flowers!! She likes tea, and still talks about the ceramic ginger jar full of a wide variety of tea bags...so this should be a hit! I hope, she's really hard to shop for!

Ok, I have a Silver Sneakers video to participate in in about 20 minutes, and I need to get into some suitable clothes...and that's followed by a trip to the gym if necessary to meet my watches expectations for the day!!! Have to do it today...i blew it off yesterday, and logged Zero exercise minutes!! OOPS!

Enjoy this day...It is lovely out...although I could feel the humidity moving in with the wind when it picked up. Guess its that front coming in from the Atlantic ocean...darn. And I hear a dogger lapping up her water...guess I'll add another walk to her schedule today!

    Later...
Sorry, no proof reading today....you'll have to guess! LOL!!

Well, the wine is now IN and put away. I received:

4 Placer Andaluz Tempranillo/Syrah. An old favorite blend.
4 D. João I Tinto. Another old favorite blend.
4 Torero Mendoza Tempranillo. A relatively recent find for me, but it is decent.
2 Sishaye Chenin Blanc. This one is another relatively recent find that is pretty good.
2 Aterdecer de Los Andes Chardonnay-Chenin. I have not tasted this blend before but look forward to it.
2 Tucana Unwooded Chardonnay. Unwooded Chardonnay is my favorite type of Chardonnay and I look forward to trying this one.

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! It's a little warmer this morning, but the humidity isn't too terrible, as yet anyway. I have to go see the vampires at 11:00.

    Morning Ed!
I got a case of the giggles as I read about your wine...not your choices, etc...but that wine arrived and was uncrated, lined up for a photo shoot, and put away faster than any load of laundry!!! LOL! Not laughing at you, you understand...I'm same way. Guess although laundry is always around for us...it may not be quite the priority it would like to be!! :) I'm sorry...just struck me as funny at the moment!

Lots could be on my 'list' today, but I think maybe not going to be a busy day. I must be getting lazy.

Hope the vampires don't take toooo much of your blood this morning!!! :)

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday! Once again it's sticky out there, and warm. But it's pretty much a typical early September day for Peachtree Corners. I need to run my van through the emission inspection today but not a lot else on the agenda that is critical.

As always, the vampires took more than needed, but had no difficulty getting it. I can always make some more.

    Good Morning Ed!!
Wow, did yesterday turn out to be a truly 'weird' day. For the first time in my 77 years, I experienced all day vertigo!! I've always laughed about 'being dizzy'...but this was not a joke.
It finally started to ease off around 8p.m.. YIKES...what a day. Couldn't look at my computer screen, got my cane out and dusted for balance, (just incase, ya know?) I did eat a little lunch, and by dinner I was hungry enough to microwave an Amy's dinner, and 'roast' an ear of corn in the microwave as well.
Today, I am going to tentatively say no dizziness....

I think I will take it easy today.

I have a whole refrigerator full of fruits (mainly melons), and fresh garden type produce, etc..and not much of an appetite..is that the 'pits' or what?

Have a good day, and try not to be 'dizzy'!, ever!!

Did you check your blood pressure and blood glucose levels? I have found if I eat too much spinach an one time I can have rather drastic BP drop a while later. I have to watch how much I eat at once. Just as well, as it is high in oxalates and I don't want to start building any crystalline structures in my kidneys...
