Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! A little warmer again today, but another glorious fall day here. Not a lot on the agenda for me.

    Good morning Ed
I stayed up last night and watched the VP debate. Certainly better than the first presidential ?debate?. But boy am I tired today. I HAVE to get myself together and head out to Kroger? or Publix? or if I get a move on maybe both. I have scheduled a Yoga class..should be interesting. If you haven't tried Silver Sneakers, (assuming you are a member), they really do have a wide variety of live classes as well as recorded workouts/exercises.

I tried to polish off the mushroom ragu from Tues, last night, but its so rich, I failed. Guess what's for lunch? LOL! The ragu is so tasty...and rich!

I need to get dressed, and let this white dogger out, she keeps coming back, doesn't pester, just lets her presence known by staring at me!! She's so funny! I'm sure while she's out, she'll squat, but I know her devious little self...what she REALLY wants is her morning snack! LOL.

    Later...
Oh, watched the plantain video...hmmmm! I will have to give that lasagna a try. Looks like about 3-4 meals worth. I can so do that!

Hey, did you ever get around to trying the soy curls? We think they could be great in a lot of things.

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday! It's another cool day here in Peachtree Corners, with increasing rain chance as the day progresses. My absentee ballot has been accepted! My vote has been counted. I may try to get to a grocery this morning, and take J's car for its weekend run, as it's likely to be rainy the rest of the weekend.

Howdy all y'all. It's soggy Saturday! It's been raining and dripping a little already, and more is expected this afternoon and overnight.

I might do some laundry today.

    Hey Ed!
Wow, you've surely given me lots to watch/read! Vegan T'Day. Won't happen before lunch. Its almost time for my yoga class. Yoga and Tai Chi I expected to be 'blow off' classes, mostly just to help with my balance. HA! Was I wrong. Those nice slooow flowing classes a.) boost my heart rate into 'exercise mode' so say the Apple Watch, and b.) both have confusing names, etc, but each leave me mildly or pleasantly sore muscle wise! That was a shock!

I decided Ted's worked hard enough this week, inside and out that I'd do his and my 'Saturday' cleaning chores. All I have left is vacuum the living room and dining room. He will do his part of the house, just as I take care of the cleaning of my bedroom.

So, I need to get a move on.

Hope your day is a good one...I have clothes in the dryer, and a second load in the washer just waiting. And a 3rd load to be done? maybe today. maybe tomorrow.

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous soggy Sunday! It's looking like another gray, overcast, drippy day today. Fortunately I don't have to go anywhere, as I already exercised J's car and mine seems to usually get enough with grocery runs.

I WILL do laundry today. I may not finish laundry today, but I WILL get it going.

    Good Drippy Morning Ed!
It is just that until later afternoon. Last nights storms brought down a few leaves, twigs and some biggish dead limbs that had been hanging out for quite some time in the maple tree, and there was a dead, and broken tree in no mans land/trees behind the house that had snapped but not quite thru and the top finally came down. Happy to say no damage either place!

Laundry, round two for me today. Yesterday's is hung/folded and put away. Also need to cook a batch of rice, and do the prep work for a great Asian stir fry later today. Featuring snap pea pods, shiitaki mushrooms, etc. I also picked up a package of tofu stuffed Chinese Dumplings and that will need a sauce, etc. Stir fries cook up really quickly, but needs a good bit of prep work.

I'm sure you saw Mike's pict. of the old red hen and her 'flock' of kittens. That made me laugh this morning! Sending it on to my little brother in MO. He'll get a chuckle out of it for sure. He has hens, and kittens...but I don't think any of his 'broody' hens has ever sat on a litter of kittens!!!

Ok, get to your laundry...and I'll do the same.

Tonight's boeuf bourguignon, as served, for me. Eduardo has been itching to make that for a while. LOL. And the savory soy curl stir fry I made for J. Rice not shown.

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday! Another cool one here, and it looks like partly sunny with minimal chance of rain. I need to fold laundry and put it away. Sound familiar? I did already put away the clean dishes from the dishwasher, so I could put my breakfast dishes in.

At least food is already cooked. Plenty of leftovers to eat today.

    Good Morning Ed!
Sounds like you have your day already planned out! I think mine is also, just have to get myself 'started'!.
It is cool, but hardly comfortable out there. Humidity level right now is 99%. Hmmm. And it doesn't look much better through out the day.

I have a little investigating to do today...I am going to try my hand at prescription shopping. Looking at Kroger and Publix. I already know what Costco charges me. :) And a trip to the gym is in order...I've used my free Silver Sneakers video all week, and only got to the gym once last week! (not so good)

Ok, time to stand up and move my feet!
Happy folding! And I'm jealous of your refrigerator full of delicious left overs! Mine is down to leftover rice. I did leftovers all weekend.

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday! I have been to Kroger and back, with groceries. I did fold and put away all the laundry yesterday, and need to run a cleaning cycle on the dishwasher today, to keep lime and other deposit buildup down.

    Good Morning Ed,
I've spent too much time doing 'this and that' this morning. I have a Yoga class starting in about 20 minutes...and I'm still in my jammies! Welllll....
Watched the Vegan one tray baked veg's. OH!! Now I'm hungry too!
Hope you have a great day...I see sunshine thru the leaves in my little spit of woods, and my Fall camellia is blooming!!! Just started. Will be so pretty in just a couple more days!
Got my script yesterday....$40 bucks for 90 days....its $92 at Costco????? what the heck? And the very nice and kind lady who took my script and updated my account at Kroger actually apologized that even with my Humana insurance discount, etc it would be $42!!! She hardly got the price out of her mouth before I said, "fill it"!!! I can always find a use for $50 bucks!!
My laundry is also done, and put away! Boy, are we in a good place with laundry today!!! :)

Also my azalea's are in full bloom, and I see HONEY BEES! I haven't seen honey bees here in a couple of years!! I'm excited!

And all the chard has been eaten by ?????, not by me. Grrrr!

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! We are expecting clear skies today with a high around 78. I may need to get out to Lidl for a couple of things I couldn't get at Kroger. And if Lidl doesn't have them, then I may trot on up the road a bit farther to Ingles or Trader Joe's, or both. And I may need to get to the Asian farmer's market soon.

I would almost bet that you have a pet bunny you haven't seen. I am pretty sure they eat chard.

Last night's vegetarian chili Frito pie, specifically J's portion though I had about the same, but with less salsa.

    Good Morning Ed!
Yep, should be a nice day! Makes me happy as I will be driving to Decatur today to see Dr. Pat. I'd love to have a closer Chiro, but she'd have to move out to the burbs, and I KNOW she's not going to do that!! LOL!

Your Chili Frito Pit...looks so good! Made me remember something I used to fix for the boys years and years ago when they were in high school. Do you remember Taco Pie? Crushed Frito's base, and then the taco ingredients, baked and when the cheese was nicely melted cut it into slices and top with the shredded lettuce and tomato, etc. It was one meal that I could count on them BOTH eating. LOL!!

Ok, time I start thinking about heading out...hope your day goes well, and enjoy all those grocery stores!! That many stores would take me ALL DAY!!!

WELL, heres a laugh for you...
WHole Foods Midtown on Ponce..has reopened its salad and hot bars. (They have gloves and hand cleaner at the ends of the isles). So, quick look told me they had my Chicken Fried Tofu, (now rebranded as Vegan Fried Tofu!!, So I got 2 boxes...and they had a string of vegan dishes on the hot bar line...Mac and cheese, BBQ meatless meat balls, vegan fried tofu, oops and cooked cabbage, (which I love) and oh, here's mushrooms, and then a pan of braised baby bok choi, etc. I got 2 containers of all that and more....except when I got home, there was NO Vegan Fried Tofu! I got so carried away seeing so much vegan food that I walked right past my prized Tofu!!!
I had 2 of the bbq vegan meat balls, and they are delicious! Lucky I got 4, I've eaten 2 on a Pretzel roll with some Follow My Heart mozza. cheese...I do believe I will have the other two tonite at dinner!!!

So, I guess now I need a personal shopper????

Hope your day is good. Nap time at my house.

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! It is a bit foggy this morning but should turn out to be a pleasant day, though overcast this morning.

I encountered a 16 inch take & bake traditional crust pizza at Lidl yesterday, and at a price of only $4.99 for the 6 cheese version couldn't resist buying one for supper. And breakfast. And lunch...

The ones with just a few toppings were at $5.49 and the meat lovers (5 meats) was at $5.99. I seriously thought about buying one of the meat lovers too, but refrained. I would have had to eat the whole thing, and think I would have had to freeze some of the leftovers. So just a cheese pizza for us.

J doesn't generally eat breakfast, but for me one slice of the pizza, with the additional toppings of soft cooked scrambled egg, cheddar cheese (7 cheese pizza now!) and a sliced up sausage link from the links I prepared to have with it, made a great breakfast warmed up in the toaster oven to have an even crispier crust.

While the pizza last night was OK, the crust is a bit thicker, and chewier, than we really prefer, though the flavor was good. I will not be buying another of those any time soon, even at that great price. For an acceptable, quick, inexpensive family meal I think it would be a good deal for the average family though.

I need to give the AC drain its monthly flush today.

OOPS, sorry Ed. I was distracted and monkey minded most of the day...if its any consolation, (which it really shouldn't be), I answered your post in my mind...just not on the computer!! Like,
"I think I would have liked the pizza'z thicker crust, (not a fan of thin and crispy)" or, I've never flushed my A/C drain....the guys who do maintenance do that and have never suggested I should do it. .....hmmm will ask about that when they come for my Heating system. I do know they switched from using bleach to a 'cleaner' a couple years ago...

Today there are a couple of things I need/should do, and one it to chat with Ted and see if he wants to get together with the other side of our little family for his birthday...I'm guessing no, but one never knows these days....
And I need to make a quick trip into Kroger for one or two items, and I have a yoga class in about 30 minutes, so getting dressed might be a good idea??? LOL!!

Saturday is a Flag Corps competition for O, and family thinks I should attend....??? Lotta people, probably not a mask in the bunch...on the other hand I have not seen my grands since Mothers Day, and no hugs etc since I'm thinking Christmas??? What to do, what to do????
