Good morning;
Cool here but no rain just supposed to be a cloudy day. That is ok I have laundry to do and a house to clean.
Roger-we picked honeycrisp, macs and golden supreme apples. It was hard finding any good honeycrisp apples. They were either rotten or had brown spots on them. There were a lot of apples on the ground that I suspect happened with the heavy rains.
The orchard also has paula red, macoun, courtland and gala apples. They also sell warm apple cider donuts and of course we had to have one. They were so good.
Vix-I am glad your daughter is feeling better.
Hi Irene.
Enjoy your day!0 -
I Already posted more humor this morning
Hi
I'm back home from walking and No Money found. The Temperature out the door was 60 degrees and comfortable. Later this evening into tomorrow there is rain in the forecast.
When I was on the outbound leg I saw the same three deer I have been seeing lately crossing the road ahead of me.

Good morning. Raining and 56, high of 59 forecast for today.
Roger, I like the cooler weather too. Reporting the robocalls is exactly like whack-a-mole.
Jo, interesting that the mushrooms were different inside. I wouldn't trust any found mushrooms either. My daughter is finally feeling better, into her 4th month, thanks. This is so much fun and they are so happy, it's just wonderful. Have fun picking apples!
Irene, family days are always great. You are busy with all the home work. Do you take Sundays to just relax?
Happy Sunday, everyone.
We were lucky as far as rain where I am, Early on there was a drizzle, just enough to wet the ground except under the trees. Then around 1PM while at the Grocery Store There were some large drops hitting the windshield, not enough to completely wet the ground and that was all I saw. South NJ had more rain from what they showed on the Weather forecast 0.5 inches or more. Maybe Irene can confirm that ?
I have a suspicion that the Do Not Call registry list could be used by scammers as a source of verified phone numbers
Have a Good Day

We still don't have a date for closing hopefully it will be the 1st.Oh vix it sounds so excited glad your daughter is feeling better. Roger enjoy your new dryer
Do You plan to put one of those floating devices and use a cover over the top as the closing down process.
The days run together and Weekends have lost any special meaning after 5 years retired. The only difference is that weekends are days not to go anywhere due to the larger crowds as well as the so called "Sunday Drivers"
The only Sunday activity in this house is a run to the Grocery Store by my Brother, As he looks at it Mondays are the restocking day after the weekends crowds.
Good Luck with a closing in the near future.

Hi Irene.
Enjoy your day!
I like HoneyCrisp, and Gala Apples. My Brother likes Macoun apples and I do not recall ever having Courtland Apples. I blame the weather on the rotten or spotted apples. The Gardens around here did not do nearly as well as last year and the one apple that did grow on my apples trees had two spots of rot on opposite sides.
Warm Apple Cider Donuts sound to delicious to pass by so I can see why You indulged. Did You get any Cider to wash it down ?
Have a Nice Day

good morning, well it rained so much yesterday that we didn't close the pool hopefully next weekend. We went and got our flu shot yesterday on Sundays we don't do much take care everyone Roger we don't use any floating devices.0

Good morning.
Still raining from yesterday. At least it's a light rain, so no big puddles.
I have an acupuncture appt this afternoon. Will do some things around the house today.
Ordered party favors for my daughter's shower yesterday, and starting to figure out the menu...kind of depends on how many people are coming. Showers are not the simple parties they used to be!
Good that you got your flu shot, Irene. I'm going to wait until I get rid of this little cold I have.
Roger do you live by a park or large wooded areas where the deer live? I still kind of look forward to weekends because I know I don't have any regular schedule, and I can plan to get together with friends and family who are still working, or just relax.
Jo, apple picking sounds like fun. Glad you got to enjoy a yummy donut!
Another week....hope you all have a good one.

Hi Joanne
I did post some more humor, enjoy
Hi
I'm back home from walking and No Money found. The Temperature out the door was 58 degrees and comfortable. The rain in the forecast that was to arrive overnight was a light drizzle out the door with some brief periods of slightly heavier rain. The forecast is for heavy off and on rain today
I went back out and helped my brother with one of his hobbies and ended up with several thousand more steps.
He also pointed out the Pear Tree growing wild that he had brought home some of last year. When we checked we picked up enough to overfill the Fruit / Vegetable drawer in the refrigerator. They are not a sweet variety but tasty enough so that is some money saved for the future. Since they are growing wild I will be cutting them up just in case of a worm inside, better to find it that way then to find a half of a worm as You are eating it
Yesterdays weather never got out of the 60s, Today temps should be good, just wet and Wednesday the forecast is for the weather to hit 80 degrees or higher before dropping back to seasonal Thursday.
I checked the New Heat resistant cement I placed where the Furnace exhaust enters the Chimney and it is hard and did not crack like what I used last year did. The appliance store also said the when we change the water heater the flue pipe will need to be changed from a three inch to a four inch pipe and that raises the cost significantly, I asked as sooner or later it will need to be changed

I did not mean floating devices while using the pool, what I was trying to say is that I have seen some sort of floating device under a cover as part of the weatherization process. I suppose You could Drain it and if I did that I would be worried about the sides collapsing hence my question.
I suspected You would get a lot of rain from the weather forecasts, Sunday we had a couple of light sprinkles and that was it as we must have been on the fringe of the rain.
I got my Flu shot a couple of Saturdays ago, For many years I did not bother however as I am getting older I tend to be more careful with my health.
Sundays traditionally are a day to lay back and relax

small to no puddles is better When it rains as I am walking go around them, I hate it when cold water splashes into my shoes.
I guess with the menu You even need to take into account dietary restrictions among the guests any more.
I seem to remember that they suggest not getting a Flu Shot when You have a cold.
The Deer live in the wild areas along the brooks by day and come out to eat by night. some of those areas are likely large, I never looked at a map to be sure OTOH. We do have plenty of parks, small to large, not a place where the deer would hang out as they usually have people and playgrounds.
That would be a reason to look forward to weekends that I had not thought of

More humor is now posted
Hi
I'm back home from walking and No Money found. The Temperature out the door was 69 degrees and uncomfortable. The humidity is high enough to make walking somewhat of a chore. There is a mist or haze in the air and the cars had cones of light in front of them as a result. There was a light drizzle for a few minutes, not enough to put on the rain gear as I was on the homeward leg, I did put the iPod inside of a small plastic bag just in case it became heavier. This one is my spare as the One I usually use while walking is ready to be sent back to Apple for repair, That is $99 + S&H as it is out of warranty. The port where the cable used to charge and Sync died after being finicky for a while I have a spare since they announced that the iPod Nano was being discontinued and the only one they have left to sell is the iPod Touch. No Thanks, Touch Screen controls only, Not helpful as I use the Volume up and down as well as the pause button constantly while walking.
Yesterday was a dreary looking day with off an on, more on than off and flooding in many parts of NJ. Today is looking dreary, Humid and a possibility of Thunderstorms in the afternoon, Not to mention warmer into the 80s before dropping back down Thursday

Hi JoanneGood morning. Another rainy day. t-showers and a high of 76.
Stained glass and clay today. I think I may try cutting a bottle today.
Happy Tuesday, everyone.
Yesterday was more rain than not At least the temperature was OK. I have been avoiding running the AC as a result of lower temps. That will be good for my brother as it is his turn to pay the PSE&G bill that comes in October.
Today with the forecast highs I shall likely be running the Living Room wall unit and likely the bedroom for a while before I retire to cool it down, Oh well.
Can I ask, Why would You cut a bottle ?
I remember from when I was back in school an aunt taking wine bottles and chips of tile and cementing them to the bottle than grouting between them as a decorative thing. There may or may not be a name for that, if so it is unknown to me.
Have a Good Day Today

I have to much NS in the freezer so I delayed my upcoming order closing date to October 25. Thanks for the gift card heads up, I have enough of them to pay for my upcoming order and part of the next one
Too much rain this year it did a number on gardens in this area, People we talk to all say the same think, a slow start producing and disappointing results.
I had forgotten about leaves, You sure do not want them in the pool over the winter.
Frozen NS order or mixed ?
BTW did You order the new items ? Those would be these three breakfasts, The numbers next to them are how many I ordered being hopeful they are a tasty as they look.
3 Cherry Cheese Roll
2 Five Seed Roll
3 Cinnamon Raisin Bagel
Limited tine Dinner items that are back
4 Chicken Provencal
0 Shrimp & Chicken Stir-Fry
I used to order only a few of the Canadian Style Turkey Bacon, Egg and Cheese Muffin until I figured out the secret. The Canadian Bacon was always dry and tough following the heating directions. What did I do to correct that ? I now take the sandwich apart and remove the Canadian Bacon, Put it on the side, then heat as directed and only put the meat back in for 6 to 10 seconds at the end. Much better that way
Good Luck, I hope the NS order arrives early for You, Enjoy

Good morning.
Gray this a.m., but not raining yet. High of 82 and p.m. T-storms expected today.
Roger, your aunt was doing mosaics. I have a big blue bottle I was thinking of making into a vase, and there is another smaller blue bottle that I may make into a small windchime. I love blue glass! We needed more info on how to operate the bottle saw, so I will try it next week. It's mostly about creative recycling for me.
Irene, hope your hair appt was good. And that you get a chance to close up the pool when it stops raining!

I have a hair appt today for coloring. I have been making it lighter and lighter (now very blond), but I think I may go half a shade darker.
Happy Wednesday, everyone.

Hi Joanne
I just posted more humor
Hi
I'm back home from walking and No Money found. The Temperature out the door was 63 degrees and comfortable.
When I left the house on my block I saw a Deer at the end of the street and on the second block of my walk I saw what looked like a Ground Hog crossing the road.
We hit in the 80s Wednesday with rain and a Thunderstorm in the Evening. The rain did not last for a long time, It became heavy for a few minutes before tapering off. It was still 78 degrees when I retired for the evening, The Cold Front that was forecast as the reason for the T-Storms must have come in with a vengeance given the overnight drop in temperatures of 15 degrees.

Thanks for that answer Re: My aunt.
I would have though a Bottle saw would be fairly easy, I think I would wear strong gloves to hold the bottle just in case. Maybe the Metal ones I have seen used by some in cooking shows when Shucking Oysters.
Creative Recycling
We are lucky, the recycle is handled by the county and every thing recyclable can go in one mixed container these days.

Good news that the flooding missed You. From looking at the News 12 cable news channel last night it looked like the T-Storms went mostly North and South of us, How did You make out with them ?

Hi
I'm back home from walking and No Money found. The Temperature out the door was 62 degrees and at the time I left for my walk the rain was coming down hard enough to make a Hissing sound. Three Blocks from home I saw something crossing and then walking up the road, upon getting closer I saw the Black Fur with the White Stripe down the back so I stayed clear. The Rain slowed down as I was walking and despite the Rain Gear It was not uncomfortable walking and since I wore the oldest set of walking gear that I keep for days like today.

Ah ha, I would have though that it had a reservoir with marking ? To me likely cutting straight should be easy as long as the bottle sides are straight to the base. I suspect that there is a fence that the bottle can be placed against to get a straight cut ?
This mornings rain was not large drops, just a whole lot of it. I knew it would be a heavy rain when I went in the kitchen to get a protein shake and I could hear the Hiss from the rain through the Dining Room window, I am not worried about rain getting into the dining room due to the size of the overhang of the roof.
Good Luck at the Show

That would explain it, FWIW I have a huge sweet tooth too, OTOH I also do not mind savory. I think today's Dinner will be the NS Turkey with Mashed Potatoes Entree which I do Like. I cut the Turkey into smaller bites then I take a small spoon and scoop up a piece of Turkey and Gravy then get some of the mashed potatoes in the spoon and enjoy it.
Lunch NS Entree will likely be the Southwest Fiesta Melt or the Spinach and Cheese Pretzel Melt both of which are tasty.
I had tried this NS entree Black Bean Polenta Enchilada with White Meat Chicken and it was to hot for me, Probably the Chile verde sauce and cheddar cheese, with a kick from Anaheim peppers, jalapenos.
Interesting, I would have suspected that Annie was always ready for a good walk, hmm...
Probably making a payment would not mess up the sale, OTOH if it was not needed getting it back could be a pain in the neck.
Good Luck
Roger0 -
good morning, well we were already at 3am walked out the door but it was raining so hard we went back to bed so after George left for work Annie and I went for a walk. I don't think Annie was feeling very good with her ear infection. I think she is doing better now. take care everyone well0
-
Good morning.
Aw, hope Annie feels better, Irene.
Roger, the bottle cutter didn't seem to have a fence to put the bottle against...I may be able to improvise something. Funny, our gas fireplace has a metal roof, so when it rains, the fireplace has a background ding sound from the drops on metal.
It's still gray out but isn't raining. Supposed to be a high of 73 today.

It was raining however since I like to get out ahead of the traffic noise I put on full rain gear and the oldest walking shoes that keep for rainy days and to mow with and it was tolerable enough.
Hmm... I do not recollect You mentioning that Annie had a ear infection ? The rain was gone before 9AM so I'm guessing sometime after that you did walk some. Once I am up and about I can not manage to get back to sleep, Good for You that You can.
Good Luck With the Ear infection

Hello Joanne0 -
Good morning.
Hi Jo.
Happy Friday, everyone!
Not having a fence would make it nearly impossible for me to cut a straight line. One thought that came to me would be to mark the bottle where You wanted to cut ?
I hear the rain noise as it hits the wall AC unit in the living Room. Quick question, Can You use the gas fireplace if the power goes out to get some heat ?
I suspect that today will warm up fairly quickly since there are no clouds in the sky.
Have a Nice Day
