    Good morning;
Irene-I am glad you like your new carpet. I too am up a few lbs, so back to strictly NS.
Roger-We froze a lot of the leftovers. Hubby makes up lunches, so he can take them to work.
    Hi Vix.
I wasn't too impressed with the show last night. Their story line was not cohesive at all.
I am glad we didn't pay a lot for the tickets.
It is raining here and poured most of the night. Nothing planned for today, will see how the day unfolds.
    Have a good one. :)
    Hi Joanne
I'm sure that most people on MFP are up from the Thanksgiving meals. Then I fear what will happen with Christmas and New Years holidays.

Work lunches is a great use for the leftovers.

I'm sorry that the show did not live up to Your expectations.

Fortunately the rains have been falling outside the hours I go for my walk.

    Have a Good Day

    Hi all.
The weather is beautiful here today. We went for a walk in the park, a bit muddy from all the rain yesterday, but nice to be out.
Jo, you always do such interesting things! :)
    Roger, some interesting stories.
Hi Irene...good to sleep in sometimes, glad you like your carpet.
Guess I'll switch out my Fall Wreath and ceramic pumpkins and get my holiday wreath out!
    Happy Sunday, everyone. :)
    Hi Vix
It is a gloomy looking day outside right now. When I started walking I could see the moon through light clouds, as I was walking the moon became more and more obscured. I looked at a brook and with the rains so far it is up to the top of its banks and with more rain in the forecast I expect it will be running higher. There are flood warnings and flood watches for all on NJ in the forecast.

I try and find things that will be interesting and not be political

My one thing so far planned for today is take down the Thanksgiving decorations and put up the Christmas decorations.

    Have a Nice Day

    Good morning.
It's raining here this a.m. I have a massage appt at noon. Walked yesterday. The stream we usually kind of jump over was too high, so we walked around the long way over a bridge. The deer have been watching us in the woods the last few days. They just stop and look. I usually wave and say hi.
    Happy Monday, everyone. :)

    Hello Irene
Like You, 42 degrees and no rain two days in a row now made for nice walking. According to the weather forecasts You had more rain in BM than I had here too.

Good catch on the Steering needing to be fixed, That along with brakes are something Yo want to have done as soon as You notice them, Not doing the repairs could be bad.

The fruits (Fruit) I have on hand at the moment is the homemade Cranberry Sauce, It has some Orange Juice and Sugar, It is still nicely tart and I am being careful to only eat a little bit as Desert with my main meal. I do sort of want to get out to the grocery store tomorrow for some big seedless red grapes. The downside to going there would be all the tempting ready to eat foods.

I Put the lighted Christmas Theme lights in the Picture Window, They do light up the room at night too. I still need to hang the wreath on the front door and that will be that for decorating until we put up the tree.
hey Costco got Nutrisystem gift cards on sale again just got 5
Whee, I now know what to gift myself with for Christmas. I still have two left from before and guessed that I would be buying them at the regular discounted price, This is much better. Is it me or do they seem to be on sale this year more than last year ?

Thank You for the great heads up.

The Rain with a one day break between the rainfall has things running high here too. Luckily the roads have not flooded around here, Likely they are flooded in areas that are prone to flooding :(

The Deer I see stop and stare too, They are spooky things that run if You get closer. The only way I really see them is if they are moving as movement draws the eye and in the dark they blend into the landscape.

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and once again nothing found. The Temperature out the door was 36 degrees. There was a brisk wind blowing that caused wind chill, It did start to drop somewhat by the time I reached my turn around point in the walk.

Yesterday we took the Dahlias we dug last week, placed them in a newspaper lined cardboard box with lightly dampened peat moss. Last year we lost some of them as that never happened :( Some of the Gladiolus we dug are jumbos and some of the Cormlets that bloomed this summer put on a decent size. I expect that they will all bloom in the upcoming summer after being planted.

Yesterday evening I pulled a package of sliced ham ends bought cheap at the ShopRite to be used as today's extra protein. Once I open it today I shall see if there is also chunks off of the end as well as slices, They tend to put the best part showing of course as does any store.

You must walk faster than I do, It takes me longer than that to do 7000 steps, Congrats.

The Big problem with CostCo is that it is so easy to spend a lot of money while saving money

I was wondering if the 5 gift cards bought online would cause a problem with getting the sale price at the register. Thanks for letting me know it works.

The Wind was howling here while I was out, I put the hood up and tied it due to the wind chill and even that way the exposed parts of my face were cold when I was facing into the wind, less so when it was sideways but I could still feel the chill.

The weather has not been great the last few days :(

I know I would not like that sort of appointment, I hate and any type of dental work.

    Christmas Theme Stained Glass ??

I need to wrap and package the Christmas gifts for my sister since the last and slow arriving item arrived via USPS yesterday, I want to look and see if they will fit in a USPS flat rate box, wish me luck.

I agree that time is flying away, it is less than a month to Christmas And I only have part of the Gifts for my brother and need to get an idea of what else to get. I will be looking through a mail order catalog or two for inspiration.

I would want a second opinion on the Glaucoma if that is true it will need treatment, I am sorry to hear about that.

Cataracts run in our family, Mon and one of her sisters needed treatment for that and according to the eye doctor I have the start of it too :(

At CostCo as I remember it all You can buy without a membership is prescriptions and The eye doctor and glasses.

They are $20 cheaper all Year and when they go on sale they end up even cheaper. The last few I bought there were $ 40 off of the $100 face value, a significant savings. You can buy online as a member and they are delivered via a email with a link to print them. Whether or not a membership is worth it depends on if You plan on buying a lot of Nutrisystem cards or other items.

Jo, sorry to hear about your eyes. I've been getting checked for glaucoma for years. Both my mother and sister had/have that. Slight changes for me, but still ok.
After the perio visit, I had to make an appt with an endodontist...that will be next week...and yes this is not good, but I'll do what I need to try and save my teeth. So glad I have dental insurance!
Irene, congrats on the weight lost! Yay!
Roger, 29 here at the moment with a high of 40 for the day. Glad it is warming up over the weekend, we will be in the mountains, and don't want icy roads! Me too...it will take a while to lose the Thanksgiving pounds. :(
I finished foiling 2 of the stained glass pieces last night. I will solder them next week in class. I'm making doves for the holidays. One for us, and then some as gifts. I still have to cut the glass for the other 3.
I made a couple of pair of earings in pottery class, and put the wires on them yesterday.
And I'm working on knitting a stroller blanket for my future grandson.

    Hi Vix
In order I worry about my mobility, eyesight, Hearing and teeth. The mobility and eyesight are equal IMO. So far so good as far as I know for all of those.

Thinking about it I suspect that the Brunch later today will be bad for my waistline :( OTOH it has been a while since we met with our friend and sadly the other one that was called to join us is tied up.

When You say foiling what comes to mind is a thin foil, Do You mean the lead that the hold the glass ?

Pottery Earrings, interesting. We have some Christmas tree decorations that were molded, painted and then fired by a family member.

You are so busy that I get tired reading about everything

IMO 1 or 2 pounds a week is a good rate of loss, once the initial Water loss has happened.

    Good morning.
Roger, there is a sticky copper thin roll of foil that you put around each piece of glass. The solder won't stick to glass, so the foil is needed to put the pieces together with solder. It's time consuming and kind of hard on the eyes to center the edges of the glass and then stick the foil on and burnish it so it stays. (Your list of things to worry about is pretty close to mine. )
Jo, congrats on losing the Thanksgiving weight. Good luck at the gym.
    Hi Irene.
I had a girls' night out last night. Didn't realize my friends were taking me out for my birthday, so overate again, and the weight just popped right back on.

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and for once 1 beat up penny was found. The Temperature out the door was 30 degrees. Yesterday was a dingy looking day that had some rain after noon, it started spritzing on the return home from our brunch with a friend. For Friday we did good to get past the low 40s, Today, Saturday is forecast to be in the 50s with rain forecast for later and predicted to continue into Sunday a high of 60 Degrees.

I am in the process of finalizing a Christmas gift package to be shipped to my sister. I am packing a Flat Rate USPS box. Since the price is the same no matter what the weight I am thinking of putting in some surplus NS snacks so they do not expire. A note explaining that they are just there as filler naturally.
