    Good morning;
Yesterday we cleaned out the shed. I had an old bike of my sons, a patio table and a spreader, that I put out by the curb and by late afternoon they were gone.
Irene-congrats on the 5 cents and getting your pool heater installed. I sometimes miss my pool, but not the maintenance.
Vix-The fair sounds like fun. I haven't been to one in years, maybe this year.
    Hi Roger.
Laundry, a little house cleaning and a trip to goodwill are on the agenda for today.
I am also making banana bread for hubby. It smell wonderful.
Have a great day and stay cool. :)
    Hi Joanne
A lot of people put things at the curb also, often with a sign taped on marked "Free"

If the weather were better I would be thinking of checking out the local Goodwill, One of these days I'll get there and see how it is.

Banana Bread, One way to use up ripe bananas  I tend to throw English Walnuts into the batter to add a little texture and taste.

Jo, I hope you're feeling better. Love banana bread.
I made some jambalaya for hubby last night (I had some too...yum.)
Enjoy the nice warm pool, Irene.
Roger, I've read about those fish before....they are very destructive to local fish populations and environment. Good that you got your walk in early. It was too hot yesterday, continuing through the next few days.
No special plans for today. Wishing everyone a good week. Happy Monday. :)
    Hi Vix
What I saw on the weather forecast yesterday indicates that for at least to more days the humidity and heat are here, then a cold front is forecast to move through. The overnights still look to be 70s after that happens. Oh well.

    Stay Cool

good morning, well today I am taking Annie to the vet to get her nails trimmed. That is probably all I have planned. It is going to be very hot today. We went for our walk this morning only about 45 minutes too hot to go to far. take care everyone
    Hi Irene
I agree that this weather takes the get up and go out of You, I have switched to taking a bottle of cold water and having coffee later with breakfast and even that does not help much.
And I also shortened my distance traveled :(

    Have a Nice Day

I'm back from walking and still have not found any money :( The Temperature out the door was 74 degrees and once again it was uncomfortable walking due to humidity. Out the door again later to the bank(s) and back home.

Banana Bread fresh from the oven with butter melting into it, Yummy, Cold it could be Cream Cheese or Butter
Either Way I know what You mean about making the whole thing vanish.

The walking was slightly better today as their was a little bit of a breeze, still not good however, Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

    Good morning.
Roger, I read another longer article about the ticks....they are surviving better because of the warmer weather, spreading north and thriving in places where they would normally die off. The Mendocino fire is the largest recorded in California history, and the fires are worse and earlier than ever due to the extreme heat and dryness. All these weather related things happening in our country and throughout the world and it is still being denied by so many. Scary times....we are not protecting the earth, which is degrading our quality of life. Business won't matter if the earth is destroyed. Very frustrating.
Anyway, high of 92 expected today with p.m. t-storms. Haven't seen anyone building an ark yet.
No special plans for today....may go back to the county fair to see the art exhibit. Will see how the day unfurls.
Happy Wednesday, everyone. Keep cool. :sunglasses:

I will be posting more humor in a minute or two as soon as I dry out a bit from the walking

    08/09/2018 100%

    Hi
I'm back from walking and one (1) cent. The Temperature out the door was 79 degrees and very uncomfortable walking due to humidity.
Today is once again forecast to be in the 90s, The heat wave continues :(
The humidity is forecast to be lower later today, too late to do me any good walking.

I will be out the door later after my brother leaves to go to the post office. I have to ship back the old cable modem that they sent to give higher speeds for the same price, At least it is a prepaid label.
A price too high as is IMO. The swap was a pain in the neck. The problem started with the instructions.
Step 1. Download their App to the Smartphone.
Step 2. Scan a QR code.
    Step 3. Swap modems.
Step 4. Go back and use the app to activate if I understood it.

I did not pay a lot of attention to all the steps as all we have are Dumb Phones AKA Flip Phones that have no Internet, one or two have cameras, Unneeded IMO FWIW. Therefore I ended up on the phone to the cable company. It started off poorly with the announcement that there was a 45 minute Que ahead of me. Did I want to stay online or set up a callback. I chose Callback. Then the darn thing took forever to get going :(

    Hi Irene
I did not walk far today either, Very warm and humid, Yuck :(

I thought I did good breaking my finding money drought with a penny.

Sunday My brother brought home a 50 % off Perdue Oven stuffer, and Stuffing mix. Since it was a reduced 5 Pound + Chicken it was cooked the same day. Giblet gravy too. Tasty also.
Somedays it pays to scout the Bargain Bins at the ShopRite They have several, One for refrigerated foods such as baked goods, Lunch meats and more, next to rack of discount baked breads and donuts. Back in the meat section a up to 70% off space, By the Deli a section for Deli item Ends.

    Congratulations on finding a Dollar

    Hi Vix
My brother had a comment regarding the spread of Ticks. He theorized that they must be carried by birds, how else to explain their jumping running water in their spreading over an area.

California has not had much luck with wildfires lately.

Look for a delivery of Gopher Wood to see who is planning an ark

I hope You had a great day Wednesday and Likewise today

    Good morning.
A little cooler today, high of 86 expected with isolated t-storms in the p.m. Had a good amount of rain last night.
Roger, haha...gopher wood. I check the bargain bins at Safeway for organic meats (grassfed, no preservatives or antibiotics). They often have some at 50% off, which is almost reasonable. :smirk: I've cut back on meat, so that works for me.
Painting class and chiropractor today. I forgot to take pictures of my prize winners at the fair. I'll do that when I get them back. I got a second place on one and a fourth place on another. That's pretty darned good.

    Hi Vix
There is rain in the forecast for today and tomorrow, later in the day so I should be good walking in dry conditions.
The humidity is looking better for a couple of days then back up, OTOH Overnights and Daytime highs are looking better in the 7 day forecast.

    I liked the reference....

The local ShopRite sometimes has their house brand Organics meats reduced and since they are in Cryovac packaging they are still fresh in taste and appearance.

Those sound like good results to me, I shall await the pictures with some curiousity.

I have not cut back on meat, Meat is a low Carb food and that is my preference. I love Kraft Dinner and Chinese Take out rice as well as home cooked Pasta and rice. It just is not good for me :(

    Have a Good Day
