    good morning
Ed, that's a nice selection of wine! I don't have wine much anymore. I picked up a bottle of Chocolate Shop wine this week. It's sweet, a small treat to drink by itself, like taking a sip of red wine and chocolate.
I will be baking a blueberry cheesecake tonight for our celebration tomorrow. Need to do some other things around the house.
It's currently 68F, window open! Sun and clouds mixed. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. High 88F. Winds light and variable.
    Wishing all a fun-filled Saturday. 🌤🌻🌼🍷

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday!

We have 24 (Celsius) partly cloudy degrees with an expected toasty high of 32 under partly cloudy skies and 16% chance of rain. There is a pool party today but I may not go. I have not started any beans either, so if I go it will be beanless. I have had some sinus issues and sour stomach for a few days, and may just take the weekend off from anything but a grocery run. We'll see. If it's NOT just sinus I wouldn't want to bring anything to share with my friends.

My stomach does feel better, for the moment, this morning. We'll see if that lasts. I think sinus drainage may have been contributing.

Hope you're feeling better, Ed. I have a bunch of home Covid tests if I'm not feeling well and am planning to meet with people. The symptoms are so negligible and varied now for those of us who have been vaccinated. But like you, do not want to pass anything on.
Family get together today around noon. I am looking forward to it. I baked a blueberry cheesecake last night, and have extra blueberry sauce to put on the slices. I'll make a veggie platter with dips, some cheese, some chips, and wine. It'll be great to all be together.
The sun is up, it's currently 65F, partly cloudy. Some early mist expected. High 89F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph.
Wishing all a relaxing Sunday. 🌤🌼🥂🎂

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous sunny Sunday!

We have 23 (Celsius) fair degrees under mostly sunny skies with an expected high of 32 under partly cloudy skies and 15% chance of rain. We got quite a bit of rain and thunder last night, which was a bit of a surprise as I was hoping for maybe a little rain, and got more than expected, along with unexpected thunder.

My tummy continues to feel better for now, with sinus about the same. I think it is something in the air. I need to probably get to the grocery today.

I forgot to mention that everything seemed to go well at the optometrist last week, aside from what should have been sticker shock at the cost of the new glasses I ordered. As I had already known, my vision coverage only covered one pair so I applied that to my multiprogressive "everything" glasses and ordered a second pair of single vision computer glasses for work. Grand total paid in advance? $1,103.00 so I hope the work glasses are worth it!

Wow, Ed and Irene! I didn't know glasses were so expensive! I'm still using readers for now, cheap over the counter. But I think hubby's last pair were about $600. I didn't really pay attention.
The family party yesterday was wonderful. So great to see everyone. My blueberry cheesecake turned out really well. I subbed neufchatel for the cream cheese, and nonfat Greek yogurt for the sour cream, and it was totally scrumptious!
Another hot day ahead. It's currently 73F. Areas of patchy fog early. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High 91F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph.
Wishing all a good last week of celebrated summer. 🌞🏌️‍♂️🚣‍♀️🏊‍♀️🚵‍♀️🏖🏕💐

    SCAM OF THE WEEK:

    Callback Phishing Scams

While making a phone call may seem harmless, you should always consider who's on the other end of the line. Cybercriminals can use callback phishing scams to trick you into calling them directly. Once you’re on the phone, cybercriminals will ask you to share sensitive information or grant them access to your device.

In one scam, cybercriminals send you an email that says you’ve subscribed to a service with automatic payments. The email also includes a phone number that you can call if you have any questions. When you call the phone number, the cybercriminals will ask for remote access to your desktop so that they can cancel the subscription for you.

If you grant remote access, the cybercriminals will attempt to change your permissions so they can access your desktop later. Then, they can use ransomware to lock you out of your desktop and threaten to release your personal information unless you meet their demands.

Don’t fall for these types of scams! Follow the tips below to stay safe:

    • Cybercriminals often use fake invoices to trick you into clicking or calling impulsively. Always think before you take action!

    • Never call a phone number provided in a suspicious email. Instead, visit the organization’s official website from your browser to find their contact information.

    • Never grant remote desktop access to any unverified agents or organizations. In most cases, legitimate support representatives will be able to solve your problem over the phone or via email.

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday!

We have 18 (Celsius) clear degrees with an expected mostly sunny high of 32 and 2% chance of rain.

I got some upgrades done for programs I work with, and today will be making sure everything looks good with that. There will probably be a few new things to test. Then I will be off for a while, as I am taking Friday off, as well as next week Tuesday and Wednesday. Monday is a holiday anyway. I might get to spend some time with friends this weekend at Dragon Con in Atlanta, and maybe some at home too.

    🐇🐇🐇Hello all,
    A new month!
    Ed, enjoy your long weekend!
I've been busy all day. Got up late because I didn't sleep well, had PT at 9. Rheum office called and I was able to get an appt at noon today. Then had to wait about an hour there, overbooked and running late. Got x-rays. Got home and had to set up appt for MRI. Also got a referral for a pain management specialist. Just slowing down now.
    It's 85 and sunny here.
I hope everyone had a good day.

    Ed-I hope Buttons is ok.
    Hi Irene.
Nothing much going on here. I am getting excited to start my vacation, only a week and a half to go.
Our new store director is leaving. He got a job working for Little Debbies cakes.
    Have a great weekend. :)

Thanks, Jo. The party was great, babies and kids galore, such a good time!

PT this morning. It looks like it pretty much rained all night, mostly cloudy with occasional light rain...mainly in the morning. High 81F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph. We have flood warnings, but we don't usually have flooding nearby.
We had lots of monarch caterpillers on our butterfly weeds this week. I read that they migrate to Mexico from here after they change to butterflies in a couple of weeks.
I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday weekend, and wishing all a good week ahead. ☂

We have 23 partly cloudy degrees with an expected high of 30 under partly cloudy skies and 15% chance of rain.

I am late posting because the cats were distracted and only the hammering from next door actually got me up. The cats were watching J make some simple syrup in the kitchen and, perhaps, wondering if he was going to segue into making their breakfast.

He's still busy in there, but now I think he's making some juice mix for his home made Mountain Dew style drink, so the cats' breakfast will be late. They can wait a while longer.

Ed, nice glasses. :) Are your neighbors working on a big project? Awful to wake up to a racket.
I have a busy day ahead. Acupuncture in the a.m., and a dexascan in the afternoon. Woke up too early this morning.
Cooler today. It's currently 68, steady light rain this morning. Showers continuing this afternoon. High 73F. Winds NE at 5 to 10 mph.

I am not sure what the neighbors were up to yesterday but after the hammering there was a lot of racket that sounded like maybe grinding up tree parts.

I need to get out to buy cat food, and perhaps a few grocery items. And after lunch we need to drop our guests off at the MARTA station so they can head to the airport and fly back to Pittsburgh, PA.
