    The early morning was really nice today...Bean and I walked for a bit then I dropped him off with my DH and finished by myself. Later I got on the recumbent for an episode of Grimm.

    Sat - 2.76 miles
    Sun - 6.78 miles walking
    Sun - 13.15 miles on the recumbent bike

    Congrats to CeeCeeMee and Taxmom9093 on making their July goals!

    Only 103 miles to go to the half million mile mark! Give some thought to what we should do to celebrate. My suggestion is that we should each post something positive about achieving a goal or how this challenge has helped us. Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

    Well we are having a heat wave (again, what else is new) and it is starting to sap my strength too. I am now carrying 2 bottles in the cages on my bike and 1 in my jersey pocket. Even riding early in the morning isn't helping much, as it is not cooling down at night. Oh well, here comes August! But it does give me an excuse to go have my favorite recovery drink, my Dutch Bros Skinny Ice Mocha.

    Your comment gave me some food for thought or should I say drink for thought. What is everyone's favorite recovery drink?
    H2O is important but I love having a big cold glass of chocolate milk. What is yours?

    Put me down for 40 again. We'll see if I can do it. There's a 10k I'd like to run in September, so hopefully I can get 40 in.

    In for the elusive 50 miles. Shooting for most/all to be running, but will add some walking in if I get behind. Did a 5 mile "virtual race" run on Sunday--felt great despite being tired from a horse show the day before.

    My August goal is 217 miles walking/biking/elliptical- an odd number because it works out to 7 miles a day
    8/1 and 8/2- 6.59 and 8.18 miles walking
    Total to date - 14.77 of 217 miles

    1st: spent the day travelling and barely made my Fitbit target - MTD 0
    2nd: spent the day recovering from travelling and pitching the tent - MTD 0
    3rd: 5.0 miles purposeful walking MTD 5

    3.6 mile walk/run today. And met with a personal trainer to work on weight lifting/strength training. I should be feeling that in the middle of tonight's shift ...

    We made the big half million. We need to have a party! My positive thought about this challenge group, is I had bought a new bike (my MTB), rode it a few times and let it sit for almost a year. Then I found this group, which is holding me accountable for the goals I set. It got me back on the bike for some serious work.

    So after a few thousand miles I bought a road bike (which I said I would never do) and have promptly put over 1000 miles on it since April 1. If it weren't for this group, the new MTB would be just sitting there, an occasional ride and zero motivation and there would be no road bike.

    So for us to hit the big 500,000 miles shows that this group and all the members motivate each other, help each other in times of injury, stress, illness and such. So lets go gang and shoot for that MILLION mile mark!

    08/01 - 11.0 miles cycling
    08/02 - 12.0 miles cycling
    08/03 - 11.0 miles cycling

    Total: 34.0 miles

    I LOVE this group/challenge. To be honest it is the only challenge I can meet each month!
    I was tired today so I only did 11 on the ex bike. Could have done LOTS more but.... it is what it is!!!

    Walked w/DDD this morning then got on the recumbent then we all hit the gym this evening...it was a good Monday!

    Mon - 6.46 miles walking
    Mon - 12.00 miles on the recumbent
